Jeff Paterson on the Canucks win on Monday night, Guillaume Brisebois and more
Rink Wide Host Jeff Paterson joined the guys to recap the Canucks win over the Preds, facing the Ducks tonight and the Canucks re-signing Guillaume Brisebois.
Brisebois is a player I expected to be in the NHL as a defensive defenseman years ago. Maybe not top 4. He’s not spectacular, but stay at home D men aren’t supposed to be. He can’t be worse than guys like Stillman this year.
The schedule this year has been ridiculous. That opening road trip was a clear case of somebody not caring about the Canucks travel or worse maybe whoever is in charge of lobbying the league for the seasons schedule just didn't do a good job. I mean how can we not have played some of our biggest conference rivals until the end of the season ? What if the injury bug hits one team or the other and all your results are based on a weakened line up ? Lets ask ourselves what would the Canucks season have been like if before that awful 7 game road trip to start the season someone making schedules had shown this team a little mercy and granted 2 homes games to start before the team set out on a massive road trip ?
Regarding Silovs I hope they keep him down in Abbotsford at least 1 more season. Next year might be another tough year for the franchise and he can still be called up once in a while but at least start him down on the farm give him lots of work. PS: I think the franchises best asset is Ian Clarke he turns every young goalie he gets his hands on into something good.
Ever wondered what these guys would do for work if they didn't have a fantasy job? The show hosts are entertaining, Jeff Patterson is basically annoying, I'm sure he's never played a sport past a rec league water boy. How many in the Vancouver sports media have actually played a professional sport?
Why is there zero talk about Hronek being damaged goods? How injured was he when he traded and did Detroit lie about his condition? Upper body? Concussion?

Hronek will take over pp2 duties when he joins the lineup.
quit worrying bout draft position…..they are trading that pick anyway

Whats the plan the rest of the way? Playoffs! Win every remaining game!
Wolanin is better than Myers and OEL defensively. That tells you these 2 guys have to go, trade and buyout.

About Petterssons 300 points. After the Sedins 4th year they had played in a combined 633 games, scoring a combined 293 points.

Only thing noticeably bad about Wolanin against Nashville was his 3 on 3 play. Needs polishing on that
