Logan Stanely

So far me throwing out random players for Army to pick up has been met with a chorus of “fuck nos”, either in this sub or the Canucks sub. Did you guys know they love Elias Petterson over there?

Anyways, I heard awhile ago that [Logan Stanely](https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/240108/logan-stanley) was asking for a trade out of Winnipeg. He’s fucking massive, plays the left side, and is physical (according to Elite Prospects). While I’m not sure if his hit on Kaprizov was malicious last night, I think depending on the price to acquire and his contract demands I’d love to try and work out a trade. Most likely it’s the exact opposite of how Army wants to build this team, but, I’d love to have 2-3-4 players who can play physical and just shut people down. Logan could be a good fit for Parayko, as I believe Parayko’s best season was in 2019 when he was deployed as a shutdown guy.

Left side of Logan — Tucker — Rosen doesn’t sound horrible to me. Though our prospect Buchinger is rising as a LHD option as well, Buchinger is most likely a couple years away at best. Maybe flip Rosen and Tucker.

Thoughts?

From Winnipeg. Stanely has size but isn’t fully utilizing it on a regular basis, sound familiar. No real high drive on the ice, lost most of the time. I’d take a pass.

I’ve only watched a little bit of him. Liked his film a lot coming in the draft. However, he’s apparently consistently playing like Parayko. Not consistently using his size and looks lost and unmotivated. Now maybe that’s because he wants out. Maybe he doesn’t feel like he’s being utilized properly. But that’s what we’ve been doing here for years. We’ve been underutilizing players for years here. While I would love, and we need to, completely rebuild the defense: Our entire coaching staff HAS TO GO or nothing will change. People here want Bedard, cool he’d be amazing to have. But you’re completely ignorant/naive/lying to yourself if you think Bedard helps this team. McDavid couldn’t even help this team. And that’s not exaggeration in the slightest. It’s being proven this year the incompetence of this coaching staff and management that has been on a downward slide since winning the cup. Does no good to have good players when our coaching staff has no clue how to coach them

That would probably be the worst LD core in the league, bottom 5 for sure

  4. He’s got some lead feet. Slow on the turnaround. If he’s out of position slightly, he is easily exposed.

He can be physical and does fight. He isn’t a terrible player, but he won’t improve mobility wise, which will always be his biggest flaw. He could be coached into a very reliable player tho I’m sure.

I really like Ryan Graves and he’s unlikely to get resigned since NJD got Meier. He also has the problem of being a big bodied dude who isn’t especially physical, just like Stanley and Parayko.

If we could unload the left side of our defense and sing any FA I’d be so thrilled. Krug and Leddy gotta go. I’m down to give our latest first to Columbus, AZ, and Ducks to take them off our hands
