So the sensor goes off the second it goes in the net? Neat

I still think the new pucks are so cool, no matter how many times I see them. If you told 20th century players that pucks will eventually have sensors in them, they’d probably look at you like you had eight heads.

Wonder of players can tell the difference from sensor pucks and regular i assume not but seeing them drilled out now i wonder

  4. Aren’t they a passive reflector? I thought it was some IR technology with the cameras that worked off the reflectors for the speed stats and tracking because pucks with actual sensors weren’t liked by the players.

This might be a stupid question but how much are the trackers/chips in pucks worth lol? Could someone theoretically take it apart and sell whats inside?

At least it’s better than the glow puck from 30 years ago.

Nope that’s a glide to the goalie-inator. They use it when the teams they don’t want to win shoot the puck.

  8. Put it in the freezer, NHL logo changes color, that’s how refs know puck is at the right temp.

Yea blue and red streaks are coming back!!!! NOT

I mean this is an islanders puck – so they need the sensors to find the puck after y’all miss the net wide

Best wishes from a Long Island born ranger fan ❤️
