Hmmm perhaps… it’s like… the front office totally fucked up the TDL?? That 2nd could have been Nino. Then a later rd pick and prospect for Lars. What do you know some insulation for the centers who weren’t and won’t be good enough. Yet you all chastised this fan base for over reacting?? I can see the d corps and thinking will be good but to leave the forward core that way.. knowing 92 is that bad. Maybe the players missing fire has to do with feeling like MNGMT left them out to dry after fighting for every inch this year. Also you can laugh it off or pull out nerd stats. The size of this team is an absolute issue. Val is not 💯 Landy missing and Manson being bubble wrap. Teams have our # just like years past. Body shot body shot body shot and we will break. Unlike years past it’ll be in the 1st round. W/ a chance for history and a core looked at in awe around the league. CMAC and JOE stood Pat.
Maybe you guys should give the Kings more credit. The avs had good shot metrics but they didn’t have the better of the high danger chances.
The avs had the puck on the outside the whole game trying to get the tip in goal or rebound goal or the kings D and goalie weren’t having any of it.
The kings got their insurance goal from a tip in straight out of the avs playbook.
Kopitar is still a force. This kings team is playing some of the best hockey in the nhl right now.
They just don’t seem to have the same energy defending their title this year like there’s not a need. I think players like rodrigues are good and some of the new guys but I don’t see them finishing with goals I wana see the avs play with some need and we need to defend our title with it’s ours
Shooting and setting up creative plays isn't what the avs do apparently. It's painful to watch all that talent just suck such huge ass. Bye bye cup!

To answer AJs 1st question,,, my answer is sloppy defensive play ,,, on the 3rd and 4th goals ,,, that’s where they lost the game
Even if they weren't generating a lot of offense they should still be able to stop the puck going in the net. They're giving up 5.5 goals a game in their recent losses. That's unsustainable. I am fine with losing a close game 3-2 or 2-1 if your offense just doesn't have it. They need to play way better defense.
