HUGE arms race going on in the eastern conference!
Ya, huge haul for Nashville.
Jeannot is a young, big body, power fwd with only $800k salary and can score goals. Tampa was cap squeezed, so Nashville did a great job to squeeze draft picks.
Hope the date went well
BriesBois has never been a good gm but no one ever mentions it. Coming from a lightning fan
Hey Lego, Canes fan here, would love to see a video on Alexander Nikishin 🙂 Thanks! Love your vids man
Looks like The Lightning are arming up for another cup run. Tanner Jeannot is a perfect player for a tough series. Now they have Maroon and Jeannot! That's serious protection for their skill guys.
Ya Tampa over paid
Grats on the date dude!
Preds future looking decent
You know what would be funny?:
Tanner Jeannot scores less than 10 times and less than 20 points the next season (if they resigned)
about 5 points in playoffs.
TB picks in 2023 will be like the last pick of the round so that devalues them a bit
i get the appeal with this player, but that is highway robbery. tampa is already short on draft picks, but this is way too much for a player who hasnt really performed this year. they clearly wanted the player though, so we will see!
Wow, all those draft picks. Tanner better be the next Mcdavid
Jeannot is basically Goodrow/Coleman 2.0 which they resulted in Cups. That's the role he is expected to play, tough and gritty and goals are a bonus. I love Foote, but honestly Tampa's D core is pretty set, and he was struggling for minutes he'll get a better chance to play in Nashville.
jeannot is great, but getting picks 1-5 from tampa is ridiculous
Jeannot will ragdoll the Leafs.
Yeah thats crazy
While a huge overpay, why do I get the feeling that this will somehow come up roses for the TBL and Jeannot will rediscover his old form, lol.
I thought it was oppisite maybe cuz we dont have any money so lets not draft no 1
Yeah i think n next yr were gonna trade like point or kuch for alot of picks
Tampa got fleeced. They easily paid twice the value of Tanner Jeannot. They should have offered either the 1st, 3rd, and 4th or the 2nd, 5th, and Cal Foote. One could argue that either of those was still an overpay.
Did the Minnesota Timberwolves front office take over in Tampa? This is outragious!
I had a feeling once announced that Jeannot was heading to Bolts that Cal Foote would be part of that trade, I wasn't expecting 5 picks maybe 2nd 3rd with a later pick tied with that. Nashville for sure won this trade

Well now that's what happens when Steve Yzerman departs. This is dumb
Yea, not too happy with the overpay, but JBB believes Jeannot could be like Nick Paul, but with a more controllable contract and has an even more physical style of play for post-season hockey. Plus, this also speaks about how JBB is looking ahead of not just this season to get back to the cup, but also keeping the window open for another decade with the young core they locked up. So yea it’s not pretty, but looking at both the short & long term is what could keep Tampa in the long run.
Draft picks are overrated..plus they have a few young guys in the minors already. Go Bolts! In JBB I trust. Also, Cal Foote sucks.
Very few 4th and 5th round picks make it to the NHL.
Tampa is a contender. But the core is getting old and I don't see them getting through the east gauntlet. I see a complete tear down in 2 years. This year is their last shot. Colorado needs to make a big move. Something is comming. Boston vs Rangers will be a blood fest now that Kane is going there.
Who?
Where’s the Meier trade video?
If the canucks hadn't made mistakes after mistakes year after year, they would be in this same position
i hope you enjoyed this vshieyeneyeasehfoasdasofhshdf and BYE
Go Leafs Go. Dubas can have Schenn for a 2nd rounder to counter in the playoff run. If not, it will be a short run again!
I saw this trade this morning and I knew legorocks made a video
I simply can't understand how Tanner Jeannot, in his sophomore year at 25, with 9 playoffs games to his credit, gets that much return, while we get Gurianov, at 25, in his 5th NHL season, with a trip to the SCF under the belt where he got 9 goals and 17 points, went for Dadonov.
Foote is garbage. Still an overpay though
4:45– Seth Jones
I suspect there were a few teams vying for Jeannot's services, and the overpayment was the result of upping the ante against other offers. For a big rugged player with a cheap cap hit, the stakes were probably pretty high to begin with.
Tampa paid for last years Jeannot…they better hope that version shows up. Tampa always made great deals when Yzerman was in there, since he left they have been consistently overpaying at the deadline.
Huge overpayment and if he fails to produce it’s a trade that GM’s lose their jobs over.
Regardless of who wins the cup this year, there are going to be a lot of majorly disappointed teams in the Eastern Conference next year because so many of them have depleted their bank of draft picks for the next two years and only one of them is going to make to it to the final, with no certainty of winning.
When your playing for a 4th cup finals in a row, you dont want to hear about the future lol.
Tampa be like: "F them picks"
Maroon has got to go. Great human, miserably slow and can’t keep up with todays players. He is one of the best in the business for cycling the puck offensive zone, behind the net presence, but other than that, he’s awful. He is not an “enforcer” he doesn’t fight, he drops the gloves and holds on until the opponent falls. Watching him backcheck, or defensive zone play, it’s awful. We will never win again if we can’t get speed on that line bc between him and Perry, they’re the slowest in the nhl.
Jeez…. tampa mortgaging their future for this stiff??? I wonder what the blackhawks could have got off them for max domi.
