f.y.i. Strachan is Scottish – the spelling has to do with Gaelic roots
I thought it was just Americans that butchered the English language – but Toronto appears to have done a pretty good job with Mispronunciation of its own street names lol
I grew up on Wellesley Street East across from the Wellesley Hospital, which ain't there no more.
Grew up in Vancouver and I only knew Queen’s Quay because of the Lonsdale Quay in North Van

The 2 things I loved most about that were:
-watching people that grew up in Toronto complain about the names
-watching someone that is too young to have ever used dialup or internet have his clips edited with dialup noises
Problem is that there IS a Queensway, so it makes it confusing if you're not familiar enough.

What gets stupid is when people pronounce Strachan…..like "Strackan"….when it's actually pronounced identical to "Stron". Even announcers mispronounce this one. It's a gaelic name.
Gloucester is another mispronounced one. Pronounced like "Gloster".
