On this day last year, the Wings suffered the worst on ice performance I can ever remember witnessing from a Red Wings team.

Wonder what Stevie would do with those. Could trade 2 of them to move up to a late 1st. Or package with the islander pick (or ours depending where) to move up a few spots.
Honestly 3 picks in that 35-60 spot gets me excited.
Guys like Bert (58oa 2013) and Hronek (53oa 2016) we have drafted in that range, now that wasn’t Yzermans drafting but that’s huge if even 1 of those hit as a serviceable NHLer, and we have 3 shots here for that or better.
Have no fear everyone. Of all of our remaining games (excluding tonight), we only have 2 that we can reasonably assume we’re at least a 50/50 to win. Those opponents are Philly and Montreal. The rest will have the other team as the favourite.

Going to my first game today, what should I expect?
Just thinking about after the draft lottery when people start nit picking through the games and saying things like “if we had just lost this one matchup with the Blackhawks on March 8th we would have won the lottery”. Of course it swings both ways and losses can also make you ‘lose’ the lottery….
So we’re basically at the point of the season where you may as well just enjoy every win and shrug off every loss without getting worked up about how it affects the standings.

Dropped $150 for lower bowl corner seats for 2 for my first game. Should’ve waited to buy till today tho cause now there are seats that are at least $20 cheaper in the same spot. Damn Im annoyed. Could’ve even paid the same price for seats on the side.

My votes for replacements would be Rasmussen and Walman since they’ve become such important parts of the roster.
I think the perfect scenario for the next few seasons is winning any of the top two picks for a NHL ready center. Drafting a player at 15. Then keep Edvinsson, Cossa, Kasper, Mazur and Wallinder… etc in GR. Then we make the wildcard with Bedard/Fantilli on the team next season. Then drop a Calder winning roster on the team the following season, or at least integrate the high profile prospects. Step 3: profit.
Please win so I don’t have to be sad about losing to a shit Chicago team. Bad enough we’ve lost the last 6.
I (we) need a win tonight, what a WEEK
Off topic but, Rn I work at Walmart to pay the bills until I graduate in June and I get my seasonal summer job back, but I just can’t take it anymore. The amount of older people who make comments about young people not wanting to work or being lazy and having it easy because we don’t have enough workers is starting to infuriate me. I wish they realized that Walmart cuts workers hours to maximize profits and my coworkers actually want more hours to survive. I’m really questioning myself if it’s even worth it to work part time, when I’m here I do way more than one persons share load for 14 dollars an hour, and the management is terrible. I’m thinking about quitting. Any advice?
