Okay listen, yeah its easy to say that. But go listen to former fighters like Grimson, Domi, Probert and other guys have said about being an enforcer. It eats at you, knowing you have to fight someone is scary. Do you know why some forcers have been on not only pain killers but anxiety pills? Its real, and its an underlying unspoken reason people want to get fighting out of the NHL. Its not a good side of the game.
The enforcers back then and the ones who are around today play 2 different roles. The ones today have to have at least some talent, the guys from the 80's and 90's really didn't. Their job back in the day was to fight regardless. Today they police themselves and their stars. Today if they don't fight oh well, back then if they didn't fight every game it was easy to replace them. BTW every pro athlete takes painkillers on a regular basis. From Crosby and Ovi down to the 4th line hacks.
Who plants bombs in their own city is the better question. How many people died when the Van idiots were looting and burning their city? How many died during the bombings or were injured? That's what I thought. Bos strong though…
If it were so perfect he would have ended up there last season instead of waiting to see who wanted to pay $6 million a year for his services.. Just wait until you see how slow he is come March. Every player is flying in Oct. A 37 year old won't be banging and flying come Playoff time unless he misses a month or two…
