Enjoy the new NBA. This manipulation will keep happening. And why not? People still watch the other corrupt leagues. When this league was legit you ended up with Edmonton, Carolina, Calgary and Tampa fighting for the cup and the league lost Millions. Now every year it will be New York, LA, Chicago, Pitt etc. I bet the Kings will be victimized in the western finals or the Stanley Cup Finals just like the Sharks benefited in the last round and now this.
Your logic makes no sense. I'm sorry it hasn't shaped up to be an Oilers-Panthers Stanley Cup Final like you were hoping for. Christ, Phoenix of all teams was in the Conference Finals last season. Your argument holds no water.
Um, most intelligent fans actually do criticize the defense for not getting done. The idiot knee-jerk ones are the ones who blame the blown call. However, if you go back over the course of the game, you're going to always have some missed opportunity that the team could have capitalized on too, and rendered the late game situation moot.
As a Sharks fan, I found the DOG call inconclusive when I looked at the video. Also, Niemi gave up a juicy rebound and Lewis was in the right place and the right time. The Sharks were down a man, and no one picked up Lewis streaking down the left wing side. Boyle was in front of the net already trying to cover the oncoming LA rush. Not only that, but the Kings jumped to an early 2-0 lead. You could make the argument that if those goals were stopped, the late game 5-3 would have been moot.

That's where we disconnect Jim. Why do I have to be a sharks fan to point this out? By that logic I am a Capitals fan, a canucks fan, a Rangers fan during the winter classic a couple of years ago… You don't get it. The NHL will make a lot more cash running it's operation like the NBA.
when there's two minutes left in a 1-goal game and the one team is already on a powerplay, you just don't call a questionable penalty like that. typically at the end of the game, a penalty shouldn't be called unless it's blatant. this wasn't. interesting how the whistle was blown so quickly when at a quick glance (without replay) it definitely looks like carter had some part in deflecting it out.
When I said "blown call" it was global, not specific to this particular situation. On another comment, I pointed out that it was inconclusive IMHO.
You can see the ripple in Carter's jersey. In such a close game, calls like that should not be made.

Then Couture tries to clear a puck through two defenders instead of taking the open ice and calmly skating it out. Tie game…
Then Pavelski coasts into the zone on a penalty kill missing his coverage on a guy streaking to the net. Game over
It may sound like I'm mad but it's at the situation not the team.
Last night we showed that Quick is human, that the Kings are beatable as long as we don't beat ourselves, and that the Sharks can make adjustments to get results.
Winning the next 4 is not unreasonable considering 3 of them are at HP Pavillion.

Im not even a kings fan but sharks fans need to stop bitching. I watched the game and their PK is absolute shit. Giving up so many cross ice passes and one touch passes. The Blues scored 3 in in a game last series and thought they had Quick solved. How did that series end? The Nucks series really blew Sharks' fans heads up

DNA proves the Kings are human dumbass. Quick is the difference. But Game Two proved the Kings have the ability to win even when they don't play their best, something one and done's like St. Louis and San Jose have historically shown they can't.
Duck fan here, San Jose got screwed. puck clearly hit Carter. He did a great job selling it though.
