**Wings trades:**

Red Wings trade Filip Hronek and a 4th to VAN for a 1st (NYI) and 2nd round pick!

Details: The first round pick Detroit is getting from Vancouver was originally acquired from the New York Islanders in the Bo Horvat trade. That pick has a condition attached to it — it will become an unprotected 2024 1st round pick if it ends up in the top-12 of the 2023 Draft

MAX THE MAN AT THE TOP OF THE LIST, LOVE TO SEE IT!

IDC WHAT HAPPENS, IN YZERMAN I TRUST! ❤️

  2. HercHuntsdirty

I know it’s a locker room confidence booster when you see that the GM is committed to this team and has confidence in playoff aspirations. But, with the east being this stacked there’s just no way we can compete with these teams if we’re getting dominated by Ottawa.

  3. JVGBurner

Trade any/every person not named Tyler bertuzzi or moritz seider. This team is so fucking soft it’s embarrassing

  4. Background_Junket_35

Well no need to wait until after the Seattle game, sell now

  5. NeuralHandshake

Saarijarvi (signing rights) to Chicago as part of the Kane trade.

I hope Vili stays in Europe and never signs with Chicago. I would absolutely hate to see him skate with that franchise.

  6. JVGBurner

As a grown man I find it totally unacceptable that nobody has fought Tkachuk yet. Props to Dylan for actually showing some heart and laying the hit but we’re gonna need more. Show some fucking grit. God darn does this team need to hire Mike Babcock?

  7. AnthonyPantha

After these showings against Ottawa, Rasmussen out indefinitely, Hronek leaving the game the way he did tonight, no quality backup goalie, and still a lack of right center, I’m fine with us trading Bertuzzi.

This isn’t Yzerman telling the group he doesn’t have faith in them, its that when you look around at what we have and what the rest of the east is working for, we just simply aren’t ready to compete yet, and that’s the fact of the matter.

Edvinsson should hopefully step in next season, more contracts expire to free up space on the roster and cap space, and Seider/Raymond will have another year of development, plus Zadina will hopefully start stepping into his own more. Next year needs to be the year that Detroit competes for the playoffs.

Might be a reactive take but if I’m Stevie, I’m aggressively shopping Bertuzzi, Perron, Kubalik, and especially Hronek. I feel like Holland would do something stupid to get Hronek

  9. NobodiesFAround

LA trading quick is such a bitch move

  10. CluelessNuggetOfGold

Considering the slugfest that is now the Eastern Conference, I say we consider selling pretty much anyone over 25

  11. This team is so soft. Where was the captain last night?!? Where’s the leadership? These two games are an embarrassment to the franchise. Where’s the ownership? This team is rudderless.

  12. Aggressive_Idea_7250

My issue since we waited so long to make some trades with all these teams loaded up not sure there will be much of a market for our guys

  13. ElectionAnnual

Am I the only one interested in Chychrun? We would have the best defensive corps in the league in ~2 years. I know, excessive and a pipe dream. But hinking about our top 6 defenseman being Mo, Edv, Chy, Walman, Hronek, Chiarot would be sick. I also feel like Stevie could get him for less than what people are expecting to see. Might be crazy but idc

  14. Scary-Extent5740

You can’t let Larkin walk. You just can’t. Not with where this team is but what sucks is to think what we have to pay him and he’s essentially already at his peak. He’s a 20-25 goal scored around 50-60 points. He’s already in the midst of his prime. His production isn’t gonna get much better. So what is it gonna cost is to get a star?

  15. No-Sample-3588

All quiet on the Midwestern front. Let the floodgates open on Friday Steve we trust ya

  16. XIGRIMxREAPERIX

1st round pick (NYI) and a 2nd round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defenseman Filip Hronek and a 4th

  17. cormdog10

Hronek for a 1st and 2nd from VAN. Stevie pulling out some magic!!

  18. Historical-Pause-401

Whoa…does anyone know the conditions on the 1st?

  19. nobody12371616817163

How does Steve continue to do it? You’d think the league would know by now

  20. CantRecallWutIForgot

Hronek traded for 1st and 2nd, wow

  21. sharkbates1208

Oo we are selling selling. Goodbye Filip, it was a good run🫡, but 10/10 times you take that trade. Can’t fault Stevie Y for that, amazing trade

  22. lukelikesfruit

I want to know what Vancouver’s asking price for Bo was from us. Hronek feels like already 90% of the way there with this trade.

  23. coolrunnings21

So, are we sellers or buyers now? Haha

  24. el_duderino08

What are the chances Stevie made the Hronek deal while on the shitter at Larkin’s house?

  25. BenAdaephonDelat

So, I saw that the 1st round pick is conditional from the Islanders. What does that mean? Is it a 1st if they make it or a first if they don’t?

  26. Haterholic

I know this year’s draft is deep, but what’s the word on next year’s if we don’t get the extra 1st in ’23?

  27. fenderampeg

So everyone is saying how deep the draft is next year. Does that mean we could be getting an NHL ready player off the bat?

  28. BenAdaephonDelat

So do we think we’re keeping those picks and calling up Edvinsson? Or are we about to flip those picks for another defenseman?

  29. breakdownnn

Sens land Chychrun for what seems like a great deal. Damnit.

  30. TheNation55

Sens take Chychrun for picks and don’t lose any players/prospects. Guess we just weren’t interested if that’s all it took.

  31. culturedrobot

Okay Stevie, make another trade. You gave me one hit and now I need another.

  32. Why did we not flip those picks from Hronek for Chychurn? Jesus that was easy for Ottawa.

  33. Problemwoodchuck

Well, getting almost as much for Hronek as Arizona got for Chychrun ends up really good work by Yzerman. I’m surprised the Coyotes budged from getting multiple firsts.

  34. jimboknows6916

I am absolutely baffled how we didn’t get chychrun with our cap space and that return.

  35. tfoxsail

I did not see the Hronek trade coming. Once again, Stevie Y surprises me.

  36. alex_double_u

Everyone upset we didn’t land Chychrun you really think it would have made sense when we just signed Walman and Maatta with Chiarot for a few more years? Could’ve Unloaded Chiarot at the cost of another 1st most likely but we also have Ed, Wallinder, Johansson, and Buium in the pipeline. Also, Chychrun is talented, but the guy is unfortunately made of glass. With Hronek gone now, it makes the most sense to use some assets and bring in a RHD.

  37. unc13guy

Who outplayed themselves harder? Arizona or Klingberg?

  38. DontCare010101

    Tampa just unloaded Namestnikov…

    Bert + NYI 2023 1st

    for

    Cernak?

Pair him with Chiarot and let the rest sort itself out.

  39. I have to wonder what a Tyler Bertuzzi is worth at this TDL? A first, a second and a middling prospect?
