  1. with a never say die attitude do not be surprised if the tank is screwed…da boys have no quit and Tierney got a goal in his 1st game showing that Montreal showed him some love and he feels welcome…..

  2. You know what, quite frankly I am OFF the Bedard train. Just ask the losers that are the Oilers how much McDavid has actually helped or the Laffs when Matthews puts up 50 goals and they lose in the first round. I mean more or less the LAVAL Rockets beat the Oilers 6-2 and the Devils 5-2. Hockey is a TEAM game and if we have a better team by getting our prospects experience in the NHL and still getting some 1st round picks I won't care that we don't get Bedard. I love how we have been playing and excited to see this team grow.

  3. We ALL know there is no way in HE🏒🏒 the NHL lets the Habs have Bedard. He will go where they want to ' grow ' the game.

  4. It's interesting how all the Hab self appointed experts have shut down their condemnation of Hoff. He was preyed upon by the gurus when his numbers were bad, but they wouldn't couldn't offer legitimate reasons why? Mike is Offence first…it has always been thus. He's quick, fast, creative, great passer with a fabulous shot. He is absolutely wasted if he isn't playing with skill. He's always been a shooter and it's silly to keep him on the pines on the PP. If he isn't getting 4 shots/gm he's being misused and he surely was. At this point in the season, amid all the criticism, Mike is 4th on the Team in scoring…not getting the TOI with the best every shift and absent most of the season on the 1st PP unit. Moreover, his -2 is significantly better than the top 8 scorers. Mike has the capability to score 30+ goals but he needs someone who can feed him gor his "canonating" one-timers. He was wasted this year as much as Slofkovsky was mismanaged. I should give those in charge a pass but they have been sound for a long time and should know better.

  5. Bedard fan-boys who truly believe a team should purposefully lose NHL hockey games to increase their odds of drafting one damn player. And hearing people saying that they are "winning when it doesn't matter" is one of the most shortsighted statements I've ever heard.

You have a team that's clearly rebuilding and FULL of great young talent already. When do you want them to start playing well together and start winning? ASAP would be the obvious answer. Regardless of if they're making the playoffs. I'd rather have a winning team now going into next year FFS. And TBH I don't give to fucks who they draft next. All I'm concerned with is the health of their current young talent and their development. They have PLENTY of them already. One of the most loaded teams in the league when it comes to great young players. You want to sacrifice that chemistry to MAYBE acquire one player regardless of him being a future possible McDavid?

Personally, I'm VERY excited for this team's future as is. Like I said as long as they can get the injuries in check, keep up the current development of the juniors and rookies, and maybe luck out with a great goalie acquisition, unless MONTY can prove he's capable of becoming an elite goalie workhorse, which I firmly believe is possible given his age. Lots of goalies in the past were very low picks who only broke out in their 20's.

    Dominik Hasek 199th overall.

    Roy 51th

    Belfour Undrafted

    Vanbiesbrouck 72nd

    Henrik Lundqvist 205th !

    Pekka Rinne 258th !

    Jonathan Quick 72nd

And Stanley Cup Winners of the past few years:

    Darcy Kuemper 161st overall

    Jordan Binnington 88th overall

    Braden Holtby 93rd overall

Matt Murray 83rd overall, back to back Cups as a rookie!

    Etc….etc…etc… Pretty mind blowing IMHO.

You never know who the next great goalie will be.

  6. The test is against the playoff teams – those are the games you want to see them win, especially after the trade deadline.

  7. Habs are winning too many games these days to advance in the draft lottery. But with Florida's pick we'll have 2 picks in the top 12 – not a bad consolation prize.

  8. Yes building a winning culture is important, but a bunch of short meaningless winning streaks at the end of the season to keep us just out of reach of a franchise changing player during a rebuild is definitely not a good thing

  9. The tank is fine. As long as the Habs are bottom 7 they'll receive a great draft pick. And a small chance at Bedard. I'm sure the org would like to see them closer to #32 but the team just isn't that bad.

Their play says NOTHING about the draft (I'm looking at you Habs fans). Players don't give a hoot or a holler about the draft, they'll play to the best of their ability to the end of the season. No one in the locker room is talking about Bedard. They'll continue to beat worse teams than them. Like the flyers. No "winning culture" is being established. No draft implications. The owner/mgmt doesn't think any less of Bedard.Just a couple of wins in a crappy year.

  10. Fans encouraging to tank are a buncha treasonous scoundrels. Better cut it out next year. I bet none of you ever brought your kids to a Habs game and spent 4k on a few jerseys, semi descent seats, stale watered down tap water Pepsi and burnt hotdogs. I am taking names , Pull this stuff next year and real fans will paint a Sens logo on your head , throw you on a ice burg at the old port and float you down to farmville land where you belong. Tanking may work in Ohio and Phoenix where you can bring the fam to game for 103 peso's with free parking. That crud don't fly here though. We pay more for parking then both those teams combined charge for front row tickets.

  11. I hope that Hughes' strategy for trading veterans (waiting for a top notch offer) works out well in getting us a good return at the deadline, because with each passing day it's moving us further away from Bedard.

  12. Mighty Mike Matheson is causing a stir in the Trade front. I like that. 1st for sure from that fella

  13. That dawwwwww on the Hoffman goal might be the most Newfie unknown lingo I’ve ever witnessed hahahahaha

  14. Until they got smoked by the senators literally hours later lol . Habs are currently the worst team in the league based on their terribly weak roster , and will be for a few more years . They will be competitive in 2025 and beyond
