I didnt think that i would never ever see a type of player like that again i mean you obviously knew he was very special but here we are decades later and still no one is even close to that kind of talent, creativity and skill level and by the looks of it, probably never will either. awood40 has great video that you just cant get enough of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlbRIUDJTEc .
I will never be too upset about him leaving, the way we pissed on him in the later stages of his career was just beyond horrible, forcing him to play with Cleary with one knee, a washed up Bertuzzi, Justin Abdelkaders ass i mean talk about wasted talent. Kinda got reminded of it again when i watched Larkin at the all-star game playing with Marner how Datsyuk looked when he got back to the KHL and played with Kovalchuk like he was actually having fun again playing with elite talent. You can blame Holland for multiple things but never finding a shiny toy for Datsyuk like Penguins did with Guentzel and Rust for Crosby will always sting.

The slickest and sickest puck handling you’ll see out of hockey pro. Just insane.

Datsyuk and his fluid movement made everything look effortless. I’ve heard a lot of talk about the lie of his stick was so different it made it hard for other players to predict his moves.

Favorite player all time. Turco’s jock is still in the rafters.

This and his goals against Nashville were magic indeed. I still remember the best Mickeyism of all time… “He had Tomas Vokoun out on Fort Street”

Just wait until Amedus Lombardi cracks the roster the dude is unreal with his moves and skating, he’s my favorite prospect in the pipeline

I love when Datsyuk would score some absurd goal and Mick would say “get the psychologist!”
Dats would do something ridiculous at least once a game. A lot of people act like McDavid is doing something new when he does it, but Datsyuk would knife through an entire team and then score like it was nothing an a VERY regular basis.
I still watch AWood’s Datsyuk highlights on a regular basis.
