Mittelstadt has been producing at a career-high pace this season, however that hasn’t stopped his critics from criticizing his lack of defensive awareness. Are you a fan of Mittelstadt?
Big question , does Adams trade him this summer or does Adams keep Middelstadt and let him play out his final year of a contact?? History shows players playing in their last year of a contract have a good year, gee shocking !!
IMO trade him to minnesota for Jordan Greenway?? More likely get a prospect and maybe a pick for him and replace him by signing UFA Todd Bertuzzi or Miles Wood to add some much needed Grit & toughness to the forward group.
Put Bertuzzi or Wood on a line with Cozens and Olofosson
3rd line could be Perteka Kulich and Quinn.
4th line ..Girgenson Krebs Okposso ( UFA adam erne if okposso retires)
Jost and Murray spare forwards.
Anderson i assume is retiring so buffalo will go back to carrying 14 forwards, 7 D and 2 goalies . As far as i know the only NHL ready forward in Rochester now would be Kulich and possible Brett Murray but his lack of speed might be a problem.

If not then maybe Adams could trade for ex sabres tyler myers Van or David Savard Mtl . Or sign Ranko Gudas or Luke Schenn as both are UFA this summer. Veteran stay at home physical d man to partner Owen Power for next season.
Worst minus on the team for forwards, nobody is even close to his minus rating. He is the worst shooter I’ve ever seen, when he shoots it usually goes into the ladies room or concession stand…hes on pace for 12 goals 46 points not very good playing the minutes he plays and PP time. I think his acceleration stinks, he handles the puck with his head down, no top skill player stick handles with head down. I can’t stand how he skates, looks like a clydesdale horse the way he lifts his legs up, so high off the ice …Don knows how I feel lol…of course our GM will sign him for 7 years because “he wants to be here” and the players go to his house after practice to play video games.
Compare his skating with Cozens from dead stop, one guy is fast as heck and other guy is a sloth. Keeping a guy who couldn’t even be a plus player in the AHL, he was worst minus on Amerks in only 36 games. I pray to God Fats, Girgs and Okposo get off my team
mittelstadt is too inconsistent, we need more solid defensive players on the 3rd line. Let olofsson be the guy for that line, trade mitts when his price is rising
I see a couple of people with Mittelstadt the first I think his he was always undersized. This causes him to cough up the puck way to easily. Second is the Sabers just drafted 3 centers so I don't think there's room for him on the team. To me he's just a bottom six grinder and he's taking up a spot for either a young player or a specialist. That the Sabers could much use I rather trade him now and sell high.
everybody in the locker room loves mittelstonks, so we have to keep him..unless we trade for timo meier and loser mitts in that trade
