Here's a comment I hope reaches Jay Woodcroft. Years ago as a competitive squash player I read a book by the then 4 time world champion, Jeff Hunt from Australia. As a "sportsman" I was surprised, taken, by Mr. Hunt's attitude. He was ruthless! With an opponent down, even at 8-1 in a 9 point (International) game, his goal was to bury his opponent. This group of spoiled, millionaire Oilers looks like happy, satisfied frontrunners. What's missing is NOT defense , although that could be better. What's missing is killer instinct! You've got your opponent down…finish the job…whatever it takes! Beat them up. Play a heavy game. Just do NOT think how great you are! And stop relying on McDavid & Draisaitl. Coach, I hope you hear this.
