If we were better at losing and getting to overtime we’d be sitting pretty.

The three point games are so annoying and make no sense at all. The NHL is dumb.

I hope we can do it! If we could have won 2-4 games in the november loosing streak it would be different story.

The pens are disgusting OT merchants

If I did my quick math correctly, if the NHL moved to a 3-2-1 point system the standings would be: PIT 66-10-9 = 85 NYI 72-8-7 = 87 WSH 66-12-6 = 82 FLA 75-6-6 =87 BUF 63-14-4 = 81 DET 60-12-8 =80
Edit: The numbers are from 3 points from a regulation W, 2 points from an OT/SO win and 1 point from an OTL.
So the Sabres have 21 regulation wins, 63 points. 7 OT wins, 14 points, and 4 OTL, 4 points.

It’s gonna be really frustrating if the Sabres miss the playoffs because of OT loss points

I always look at the goal differential and for the entirety of their playoff race – the Sabres have held a higher positive differential than any of the teams in Wild Card contention.
It is interesting to see the correlation, that if you score more than your opponent over the course of the season you will end up winning more.

If the boys can learn how to play at home I like our chances a lot.
