Hate when hockey allows this nonsense to happen. Been around this sport for over 20+ years, coached AAA and Junior players who ended up with NCAA D-I scholarships and to see the top players in the country resort to this stuff bothers me. The refs should all just move out of the way and let them go at it. Use sticks, helmets, pucks, whatever they want to use to beat the crap out of each other and then when someone is seriously injured or worse, the sport can eliminate this stuff.
IMO, hockey are the best athletes in the world because of what they while wearing a pair of skates, standing on a piece of steel that is only about an 1/8th of an inch wide. Allowing this stupid stuff to happen is just an embarrassment to the sport that I truly love.
ESPN announcers are horrible. The coverage started on espnnews because of conflicts with nba celebrity game which is a joke in itself. Where are the days of Thorne and Clemente? By the way Copley got punched with a cheap shot yet he gets ejected. Ridiculous officiating
