  1. Marky value is at its lowest, any trade would most likely happen in the offseason

  2. Why would Buffalo or Montreal want to trade for/acquire a goalie with a $6M contract for 3 years when they have young goalies that they are developing that require crease time?

  3. He's a very expensive head case and regarding Montreal forget it. I'll take Allen and Monty over him any day.

  4. Only way I would want to see hawks take him is if they get thrown picks and get paid for cap space. 0 reasons to spend resources to acquire him.

  5. This makes no sense for the Habs what so ever. Sabres maybe if they see themselves pushing for the playoffs which I'd say they are the closest.

  6. Yes I would give up on markstrom. He's been the sole reason we lost many of the games that we lost this season. Although he wasn't the only reason we lost the Edmonton series, he was a reason. I would much much rather see a tandem of Wolf and Vladar in net.

  7. As a Kings fan, I'd swap Cal Peterson for him. Cap hits are close enough to throw in a good NHL caliber prospect with Cal rather than a draft pick. Just a thought. Maybe the change in scenery will be good for both troubled net minders

  8. Swap him to Columbus for Elvis. New start for either player, and adding more name players to Columbus (especially from Calgary) would be a nice touch.

  9. He has a full NMC, so he needs to want to be traded.

I don’t see him wanting to go to a non playoff team, and that’s just one reason Buffalo and Montreal don’t make sense.

Purely from a business standpoint, you also don’t trade him when he’s at his lowest value either.

It’s unfortunate the way his season has gone, but just 1 poor season is not enough to warrant moving him. Anyone wanting to trade him are just being emotional and not fully thinking it through.

  10. As a Buffalo fan, no thank you. Buffalo doesn’t want Kane, or Toews, or Markstrom, or any player making more than 3 mil or so unless we are getting assets to take salary. The team is young, just keep growing and figuring things out, and we will be fine. The only players I want Buffalo to acquire are Sean Walker, Matt Dumba if we can extend him for 6.5 mil or less, and don’t have to give up a first rounder or former first round prospect, or either Colton Parayko or Cam Fowler for a reasonable package

  11. Wouldn’t bother with this one, MSN and their writers don’t even know what hockey is. Let alone understand what a NMC is.

  12. Does anyone actually look at a contract before they make up rumors, post videos or comment? The dude has a full no move clause. You know where he most likely wouldn't waive for as a 33 year old goalie looking to win? Purposely tanking teams. Come on now. Montreal? Arizona? Chicago? Use your heads.

  13. now would u trade demko to la for a cap dump andclarke and a first and then trade oel to flames for markstrom and lucic
