  1. Wasnt that last core what Calgary did internal development? I get What Rhett says but thats what they just did, and we are happy they left last summer.

  2. Sleep apnea is brutal! That shit's horrible. I was so sick because of it, and I didn't know I even had it! I fell asleep IN MID CONVERSATION once. And I was the one who was speaking at the time.

  3. I agree with Rhett 100 Percent! He is a breath of fresh air. So sick of wasting picks on quick fixes at deadline. I miss the always earned never Given aspect before Burke came in and blew that shit up as well.

  4. Felt the need to comment and say I 100% agree with Rhett here. As he said, I would love to see this team prove me wrong, but in my 25 years as a Flames fan I have never got the impression they had a sound plan to build the team. Championship teams are built through the draft – in all cap-constrained sports. We started down that path after the Iginla era, but the process was rushed, similar to what's happened with the Canucks.

  5. I agree with Wrett they havenโ€™t done anything but pay too price for players. I disagree with his opinion on Backland Brad has mishandled there most valuable assets

  6. Rhettโ€™s been on fire lately. I think heโ€™s on the extreme end a bit on his take today but I understand what heโ€™s saying.

  7. Another good show today boys! The shittier the Flames play, the better The Barn Burner๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  8. Lol Iโ€™m dying . ๐Ÿ˜‚ this is an amazing episode. Poor Pinder ๐Ÿ˜† Rhett has so many valid point and I agree. This teamโ€™s chemistry is bunk.

  9. Rhett is correct that championship teams predominantly build a core internally; and then use UFAs, trades etc. to fill the holes & round out the roster.

The problem for Calgary is a point Darryl says a lotโ€ฆthe Flames donโ€™t have a McDavid, Kucherov, Pastrnak, MacKinnon, Robertson, Thompson, Hughes etc. top end talent; let alone more than 1.

Some of that is luck, or allowing your team to be bad enough to hit on a few top 3 picks.

Gaudreau was that player in the regular season, but not in the playoffs. Tkachuk choosing to leave hurt them a lot.

Every team that has won the Cup since the โ€˜04 lockout has had a few elite players. Right now Calgary has none.
