OK Guys, during the game yesterday between the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers, we saw an altercation between Arber Xhekaj and Vincent Desharnais which resulted in an injury to Xhekaj. Possibly his wrist, hand, OR shoulder. Regardless, this is terrible news for Habs fans, as Xhekaj has quickly become a fan favourite amongst the team this year, and it would truly be disgusting to lose another fan favourite to injury.

Looked like when he threw last punch his shoulder popped out
This didn't look good. I think he's done for the season.
He’s a good defender. Fighting is good but dangerous. Pick your battles
hope it is not serious and only minor… love the never say die attitude, no quit in this team. sadly once you pop it it gets easier to pop after that…
Let's hope all is okay with Xhekaj but did not look too good with the shoulder.
If Arber is out for a while I believe William Trudeau will be the callup.
I expect Dach to carry the Habs on his back for a win tomorrow.
the undertaker always goes down hard, bit sits back up stronger. Arbys waiting till wrestlemania
I didnt think it happened on the last punch, i thought it happened at the end of the fight, when Desharnais was getting fed punches, he ripped Xhekaj to the ice by his jersey, and i think that pulled or tore something, as u said, let's hope it's not as bad as it looks, but i dont got a good feeling about it either. It's gonna be rough with no Caufield, and no Xhekaj, but i will still be there suffering thru bad game after bad game, with the boys! Just give us Bedard now.
If was a good tilt, but either a punch threw out the shoulder or he got pulled down at the end, could have been that as well.
Dam eh. I can't find a replay of the fight.
Totally agree with Belzile, really happy for the guy, his work ethic is contagious.
Looked like Xhekajs last punch glanced a bit off #51 DD's giant 4th cousin, once removed, shoulder and his shoulder "popped" into his armpit. The more I look at it the more I feel its not too serious, maybe a just tweaked something or jarred it. I hope its not too serious and if it is the team and Arby take the proper time to let it heal… fiancé is coming home with my #72 jersey Wed, Im gonna wear the s#%t outta it!
Absolutely devastated…can't put into words how much it hurt to see him skate off like that. I haven't missed watching a single Habs game this year and it's 90% because of Arby. Hoping he heals as well as he throws those gigantic mits!!
I have been really watching Harvey-Picard very closely since he has been called up and wow the guy does everything right from blocking shots to heavy forecheck to setting up plays and he is always in the right spot . He won’t be going back to Laval
That really sucks about Arber he means a lot to the team , like Dach said everyone plays a big bigger because of Arby . The Hawks game is a must lose
The Habs probably won't finish last so I was kind of hoping this season would become a development season but with so many rookies ( including possibly Arber now) injured, I guess the development's going to go slower than I hoped.. I haven't seen any updates so I'm hoping that this will be a day-to-day type of injury but my gut tells me it isn't. Let's hope he gets back to 100% sooner than later.
Oh and the Belzile goal was so emotional I was so damn happy for him Pezzatta’s congratulations was fantastic he was as happy as Belzile . All our ahl guys cut their teeth together in Laval and its like they got together as a group and said ok boys let’s show ‘em what we got and the rest of the team is feeding of it
Arber needs to cut down on fighting …He will recover but will have to listen to people like Robaidas on how to concentrate on hockey and limit bare knuckle boxing on ice …Otherwise his body , career and pocket book will suffer …Larry Robinson could beat anybody but seldom fought an actual fist fight …He dished out hard checks and controlled the play …Arber needs to use this injury as a learning experience ..
I think he popped it out, I'd say sit him for a few games just to be safe
The team "medical staff" better not "f@*k up on Arber's injury. The jackals like to chew on a#@&hole.
I heard they put a cast on his arm and he literally chewed it off .
When you look at the video you can see something went very, very wrong with Xhekal's right shoulder. He winced in pain and could couldn't continue to fight. And when he skated to the bench he had to hold his arm up to lessen the discomfort. It doesn't look good folks. Medical experts say the recovery time for a dislocated shoulder is about 12 to 16 weeks. Hate to say it, but season's over for the sheriff.
Gotta say Why didn't the Habs draft the 6-6 Desharnais instead of his dwarf cousin ? Guy was right in Habsland but no they go for the Smurf.
Tank is not in my vocabulary…..sorry….
there is a physical adjustment period to playing in the nhl. the downside of putting a "boy" against "men" is there is a large chance to get hurt.
I'm with you on this one Matt. Arber is underrated. Sees the game well ; very good at making passes and has scored some nice goals. Nothing not to like about this guy and he's a favorite of mine as well. RHP ; Belzile ; Harris ectopic are all showing real promise and Who doesn't like seeing the whiner MacDavid shut out ? Hoping for some good news about Arber tommorow !
ya that sucks big! Shoulder? broken mitt? at this point les Habs are the MONTREAL ROCKETS……..but……that was win 22 == last years wins ! On pace for 75 points. ..
Gonna miss Xhekaj and all that he brings to the game for the HABS. He is an extremely impactful and influential player. He exudes confidence and if we lose him long term it would be impactful in a very negative way IMO.
Hopefully he is healthy and will be returning soon.
Probably sure he lost it on the last punch he tried to throw. Bad one.
looks lie a broken forearm but I am no expert
Hopefully injuries don't end his career short, it would suck too much to not have this guy around for a long time.
His shoulder Is out
Arber is fighting way to much no one is invincible
Rough break, habs need this guy!
Gotta feel good for Belzile <3
our WI-FI signal is weak :O get well soon big bro
Great video junkie i m hooing our boys ok
Hopefully it's only a dislocated shoulder. But I find the lack of information from the Habs irritating.
Edmonton taking out everyone this month holy
I think he need this injury to come back stronger
