Hockey players are way more honest with the media this season than i’ve ever seen before.
Wow. His main door has shut. Looking more like he’ll stay and maybe that will be a win win overall.
If I were Kane, I would take a one-year deal with Chicago (if Davidson offers it) and try to boost your stock for 2024. Kane could also potentially play with Bedard next season to get his numbers up.
I don’t think another team could’ve and would’ve given us what the Rangers could’ve while also having Kane wave his no trade clause sadly. But I hope someone offers us something good, just sucks cause I do want him to at least get 1 more run/shot at a championship.
Just extend him. Kane + Bedard line next year will be fun.
HOL ON KANER
I still don’t understand why everyone wants Kane to stay this season. Trade him for the last 2 months and get some capital. Then resign in the off-season. If there is some monetary thing I don’t know then please excuse my ignorance
This is actually super interesting. I think this may indicate a few things:
– Kane may need to make up his mind sooner than later after seeing one of his preferred destinations be shut down.
– If New York was the *only* place he was willing to waive for (which I doubt), he may be staying here through the end of the season.
– Davidson may have to adjust his ask if other teams have a similar vibe to New York.
Poor guy just wants to get back with panarin and just looks like it may never happen
I see him getting traded to Boston for a first round pick and a lesser prospect. Hawks will need to retain salary and take on a bad contract though.
Welcome to the consequences of your own inaction, Patrick. If you wanted to go to NY, you should have notified management that you were willing to waive you NMC to go there. You can’t drag this out for months and then get upset when other teams move on without you.
