Bedard joins elite company, Canada routs Austria

16-year-old Connor Bedard put on a show, scoring four times to tie the single-game record at the WJC, Mason McTavish added two goals and an assist, and Elliot Desnoyers recorded three helpers as Canada dominated Austria to improve to 2-0 at the World Juniors.

  1. Yeah he put up 4 goals but against Austria in a 11-2 game hahahaha. Lets see him pot 2 against Russia or the US before yall gas him up anymore. Not surprising Canadians are losing their shit over this because all they do is over react to literally anything

  2. In a blowout againt Austria, the team that had ZERO GOALS IN LAST YEARS TOURNAMENT. Ease up on the bedard talk he's a ppg player in the CHL as a 16 year old. He's not Crosby, not McDavid. Just stop

  3. It was against Austria lol. Get over it. Not even an accomplishment

  4. Of course the sabres finally start getting their act together when a player of this caliber comes in next year's draft looks like they'll miss out on both Connor's

  5. Couldn't sit on the bench and let him get five goals the record eh. " players" who helped destroy the other team way to go

  6. I think he is the real deal. Been having having a not so great season in Regina this year, compared to his 15 year old season in 2020, but I think the coaches are to blame. Plus some of the 19-20 year olds are jealous and want to hog whatever limelight they have left. A 16 year old scoring 4, even if it was against Austria, shows how good he is. Damn too bad the tournament is cancelled

  7. Thats what happens when you run the score up the hockey god look down on you…It was 11 to 4 already and Bedard broke his stick hunning the puck while trying to run the goals up and disgrace the other team.. Was bedard vanity worth Austria's being humiliated..Looks like the Canadians coach is not running the show…

  8. Hey, 4 more than I ever scored at the WJC, but I feel this would be impressive if they didn't win 11-2. If he didn't score any, it would have still been a blowout
