The first race of Cazoo Derby day 2022 proved unexpectedly dramatic when the starter let the horses go while not realising William Buick was not fully aboard his mount having been hit in the face by a horse in the adjacent stall.
Buick was waiting for the start of the Cazoo Handicap aboard the well-fancied Blue Trail when the horse drawn next to him, Approachability, swung round and gave him a hefty blow to the head.
The incident was captured by an overhead camera. Seconds later, the race began but Buick, a bit like a boxer having taken a heavy punch, was still recovering, perched on the infrastructure. Blue Trail ran off on his own but was later deemed to be a non-runner for betting purposes. Buick was checked by medics after the race and passed fit to continue riding.

Blue Trail Horse deserved the win. No one assist him to go faster, to go near in the trail so thats muvh nerf than like they said the handicap of the weight.. So that horse deserved the win.
And he would easily win also if with jockey.

The horse didn't have the extra weight of a jockey. Much easier to run without at least an extra 100 lbs.
You all are saying it’s because the jockey isn’t on the horse which is why the horse had won. YOu should all realize beside that, that the horse remembered its training, including its not getting whipped even thought the horse doesn’t need it. The horse especially didn’t get into the crowd on how they all crowded the corner! He still won even though he wasn’t in the corner.
