I pretty much agree with everything you’ve said. Kevin Adams and Donny Meatballs are no joke. Everyone wants to win and win a lot with consistency. Key signing in my opinion.

I think these are our guys. I get excited to watch them. I think there’s nights you can tell they’re just a young team. Then there’s nights where the chemistry and talent is off the charts. It’s awesome and I couldn’t ask more of them. This is exactly where I hoped to be as a fan. Still a chance at playoffs! Buffalo playoffs? I haven’t seen that since I was a teenager in middle school! Lol

The sabres should just stick to what has worked for them thus far. No need to sign the big fish in free agency. Use the cap space to keep their young core together. Power will want $8 mil, dahlin $9mil+. Cap space will disappear fast when they need contracts
Been watching the Sabres for about 5 years now. Cozens is putting up those points while flanked by two rookie wingers. Good rookie wingers to be sure, but this is a play-driving two way centreman. Being two way, those points only tell part of his game, and even advanced stats aren't going to show all he brings to the team. Dylan Cozens is developing into what Kyle Okposo is to the team, a leader, a guy that not only puts his whole effort into the game but gets others to follow him in doing so. I'm very happy with this signing. Some people thought the Thompson extension was too much at first, and here they are again with the Cozens extension.
i think cozens is worth 7 mill, he could easily be looking at 10 million or more if the signed him to a shorter deal

You nailed pretty much all of it Shannon. I don't agree with going out and getting a player like Kane this season. The team chemistry might be too fragile at the moment to move a big name in the room right now. I think Kevin Adams is playing Money Ball and the plan is working. You're spot on about defense. We need a guy like Trouba, however I think Samuelson is going to become that guy. Just not as quick as we might want.

Skinner helps Thompson more than it seems. He is probably a 7 mill guy but it’s not a wasted deal.
it’s crazy. bills and sabres staff met to gain knowledge on how they did it within the bills. they had a good draft and found key players they believed and saw superstar potential in. yet the bills only had one true good draft with that being allen’s class, while the sabres are looking like geniuses with power, dhalin, quinn, cozens too. all drafted and jason botts gave us a gift with tage. the sabres found more key players and superstar players than the bills and has more cap space then we can fathom with the prospect pipeline overflowing. brings a damn tear to my eye 😢
Getting cozens sign to an extension this season was the most important signing to make the core of this team is almost set for the next 7 years or so next big contract is Dahlin

Im here for the morons saying “its too much” like they did with tage last year when tage would be looking north of 10-11mill aav ifthey didnt lock him for 7 last year. This is another fantastic long term deal by GMKA; locking down the core at cheap aav’s before they hit their point production prime (cozens is at a ppg this year and on pace for 25 goals). The old sabres admins bridge dealed everyone until their value was outrageous (see reinhart). This admin is identifying the pieces they want and locking them down at very reasonable values while theyre still young.

I know he's only an RFA at the end of yhe season, but I think one of the best fits for Buffalo is Timo Meyer. He's at a good age to grow with the existing Sabres roster.
As a Sabres fan this was very enjoyable 10 mins and 54 seconds. I am totally fine with the signing because Cozens is a beast!
Honestly if skinner was at what cozens or Thompson are getting paid that’s the perfect cat hit for him, so only being $2ish million above that really isn’t that terrible
cozens plays with peterka, peterka gets 1-2 prime scoring chances every game, some games he gets 1-2 prime scoring chances every period, but never score. if he had scored cozens had been up there in the stats with dahlin and thompson.
Buffalo fan from across the pond, as we are so deep in attack, my question is would you trade a 1st this year (another potential top 6 forward most likely)for someone like a jakob chychrun to help bolster the blue line? with the goalie situation I think were good going forward with UPL and Levi – Comrie signing was always a stop gap, but the only lack of depth I see is the blue line. I like the romance of a Kane move but honestly I think we'd be better going for a established top 4 D – interested to hear everyones thoughts? PS Granato is the best coach we've had in years!
