You contradict yourself when it comes to Scheiffle..you don’t want to pay him the wheeler contract but there’s no replacement for him..I’d like the first pick ever from this team be a lifer..hellybuck is a absolute re sign..best goalie this franchise has ever had n quite possibly best goalie we will ever see where this uniform..the future may be better then you think
Jets are having a very nice season-which I admitadly didnt see coming,& the playoffs are all but certain. HOWEVER,your position in the standings/ie-home ice,etc is far more precarious than it appears. 8 pts is a decent lead (7 on Minny)…but Minnesota,& Colorado HAVE 4 GAMES IN HAND!(& 3 on Dallas)
My Avs have had the worst injuries in the nhl,but everybody is SUPPOSED to be back,within a few wks after the All star break. And I know no team out there wants any part of Colorado-certainly in the 1st round-assuming we are reasonably healthy.(granted thats a big if) I think the Avs if healthy are still as good as anybody in the west.
We arent as good as last yr-that team was arguably the best cap era team…we arent that anymore. And if we played in the east-I wouldnt love our chances to go very far in the playoffs-where theres 4 or 5 teams signifigantly better than anybody in the west-including us-in my opinion. Still way too early for predictions-injuries,trade deadline,etc will factor in big. And I think the west might be deeper than the east-there might be more decent to good teams in the west,& a few good teams will probably miss the playoffs. But the top,& middle of the east is FAR scarier.
Alot remains to be determined,& I respect your team-though I DESPISE Scheflie…but objects are much closer in your rearview mirror-than they appear Jets.(meaning Minnesota,Colorado & even Nashville-though I dont believe the Preds are REALLY playoff caliber).
