people have a hard time accepting that morgan reilly hasnt been that same player for like 3-4 years. This team doesnt know how to move on its their downfall and they wont win shit win reilly on the blue line

Much like the fan base, I think Keefe and executive team are 100% focused on strategizing for the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if they were skipping the usual preparations for these games.
I agree with you that Rielly should not be on the number one powerplay. I think Keefe is doing it because his boss just signed the player to a long term expensive contract. so he doesn't want to go against his boss. I think Rielly just came back from injury and perhaps Keith is giving him time and space to get his game together. however I think that Keefe Should grow a pair and put Rielly on the second powerplay At the very least
Why not fire GM if Leafs continue being playoff losers this spring? Let the new GM decide if Keefe is worth keeping. The current core of the Leafs is not structured to win in playoff rounds against Boston & Tampa. That is the real issue for us Leaf fans. Players like Marner drop by 27 % in the playoffs. They are good guys & regular season players – so keep them all if the playoffs are not the number #1 priority. We are entertained at least.
Well 1 Good Thing Is TJ Brodie Will Be Back Sunday Against Washington, that will help Rielly Because They Play Good Together And If Rielly Screws Up On D Brodie Seems Too Bail Him Out.Now I hope this 1 rumor is true the leafs have been eyeing out Jake McCabe from Chicago, who if i heard correctly plays both sides on D, send out Holl back too Chicago as part of the trade, Holl pissed me off when Tavares scored the tying goal in game 7 only too have it taken back because dumb ass Holl was at the face off circle where he should not have been in the first place takes a really dumb penalty and we lose the series right there.im telling you guys we wont win a round with Holl on our back end, he has a RUBBER STICK and always coughs the dam puck up in his own zone when he has the puck, ive seen him do this for the past few years, ENOUGH ALREADY.

For all the Dubas haters – hopefully you realize beating Tampa is the toughest playoff team in recent history. If the Leafs can beat Tampa than they can beat anyone in theory.

I think I lost my faith in Keefe last year in the playoffs when the Leafs were ahead 3-2 in the series against Tampa and he decided to put Holl in and scratch Liljegren. The Leafs ended up losing the series after that. I think Keefe has to learn to keep his heart out of his decisions and go with his head. Even though Samsonov has a better record this year he should have played Murray. Murray would've definitely played his best against his old team. I think this affected the rest of the team mentally. We need a new coach.

Coaching staff is indeed responsible for playing Murray, when many members of that staff knew that he’d been unable to play due to an ankle injury. That way, Dubas could’ve called up Kallgren, Woll or Petruzzelli from the Marlies to call Samsonov up.
The above said, the failure of Leaf skaters to adjust to life without Auston Matthews in the lineup killed them, and they’re gonna have to get used to life without Matthews because he’s out until sometime after the All-Star Break, with an unknown return date. TBD will be on Sunday whether the Leafs have a hope in hell of turning things around against the Capitals because if the leaves don’t, it’ll be time to go out and acquire a legit centre who can indefinitely replace Matthews. Who will that centre be and how much will one cost? Those are good questions to ask because the Leafs don’t have very much cap space due to the situation in which Dubas put them.
Lol no. Dubas does, Jake Muzzin should have been on LTIR from the start. The Murray trade should have never happened that's like 9mil in cap space that should have been invested properly on players that could bolster the bottom lines

I saw almost every game that Matt Murray played as an Ottawa Senator and he was terrible. He has plenty of weaknesses in his game and always injured. He lost plenty of games for the Sens. It was laughable that the Leafs signed Murray, what were they thinking. Murray is back to his same ways.
