Raymond>
Raymond > Zegras
Not really worst case scenario for the wings. Sure, people want raymond to win the Calder, but if he doesn’t, we won’t care. We finally have not one but two elite potential players. We’re pretty happy rn
We need Bert back. Raymond needs the feeds from Larkin and Bert plus the assists from Bert and Larkin scoring
Z is better way better
This is why there's 82 games and there's a lot more to play. It'll be exciting to see how this plays out.
imo I think zegras skill wise is better but raymond all around is the better player
Don’t forget about Jamie Drysdale either
I still think Raymond or even Seider will win the Calder
Anaheim fan. Can confirm. Mind still recovering
Raymond is way better
I'm a Ducks fan, so naturally this has me all sorts of hyped. Lot's of hockey left and it could be a close finish or not. We won't know until it is all said and done. For the people saying Raymond>Zegras or the opposite, take a step back and realize it is bigger than that – The future of hockey is bright and I think we're seeing a meta change before our eyes. Thanks for the vid, Lego.
How is the Preds' tweet inappropriate? The shade was thrown by the Detroit beat writer, Nashville just basically replied "No, you."
Sieder has already wrapped up the Calder so who cares🤷♂️ It's highly unlikely Zegras or Raymond can maintain their production throughout the rest of the season(young rookies usually always tail off) compared to Sieder's steadiness. Btw: Im Wings fan but that Nashville's reply tweet was gold and quite frankly on point😂
I think now that Zegras is rolling, he's likely to run away with the Calder. I genuinely think he could finish point per game this season. I think Raymond is more likely to finish with around 65 points
ZEGRAS SUPREMACY!
I love Raymond… but DAT ASSist though! Go Z!!!!
Yeah, no. Raymond and Seider should still be one and two. That pass really wasn’t impressive at all. It was the tip-in that was impressive.
That stadium series SMASHVILLE jersey has been trolled by some photoshop guy as SMASHMOUTH (the band)
Zegras is 20 and Raymond is 19. If Trevor wins it so be it.
Detroit took Seider instead of Zegras in 2019. Moritz may be a generational player.
i’m a wings fan, and how good raymond and seider are you cannot ever count out zegras in this conversation. zegras and raymond blow my mind with the puck but seider is the best defenseman to come out of the draft since makar.
Does Z have a hat trick?
Raymond back in the lead with two assists tonight. Zegras was pointless tonight as well.
Yzerman, Federov and Lidstrom never won the Calder and they all turned out to be Hall of Fame players.
I think in a points tie the win goes to who has more goals, but I do give Zegras the edge as of this video because of the extra game for Raymond.
In defense of Datsyuk he tried to flip it to himself and bat it in and it ALMOST worked. I remember that play… I remember that shift! He had the puck on a string!
My thoughts…. Who's next? When a rookie becomes a weapon he draws attention. Teams have REALLY been shadowing Raymond and denying him the puck. They're forcing him up high on the power play. They are LITERALLY putting three defenders between him and a cross ice pass.
Zegras has got the league's attention. They will make plans to shut him down too. When they do, and they will, don't panic. He's going to be okay. Raymond will too. Seider just keeps doing his thing so… He's ALREADY okay. He needs a nickname. I'm voting for Love Bug.
I like Zegras, but I think Seider is the better pick. Yzerman has already built his D core through the draft. We know Seider and Edvinsson, but watch out for Buium. Yzerman traded up…. That usually means something. I can't even imagine Seider, Edvinsson and Soderblom on a PK. I guess Rasmussen might be an obvious choice too… When you have 4 guys averaging over 6.5 feet tall…. There's no room. The Wings may soon be VERY hard to play against. They've been without Vrana all season too. This team isn't far from the playoffs. Don't be surprised in a few years if Zegras is trying to win a game and the Wings are trying to win a Cup.
