As a Leafs fan, I hate to say it, but Boston is just way better.
I'm sure the refs missed calls, they do, every time Corey Perry is on the ice and you aren't watching you probably missed a call on him, but the Leafs have to overcome that. Defense wins games, and when it's merely Mark Giordano and 5 pylons that sometimes turn into defensemen, you aren't going to get Defense very much. Samsonov had a bad one, for sure, I'll give him a chance to pick himself up again he's human, he may be tired but great goalies pick themselves up in those times. This team needs guts, they haven't had much guts since the 1960s, they need a defense that can shut down teams consistently before they go far in the playoffs.

Tavares doesn't know how to play defence. 7:18 he should be forcing the bruins player towards the boards. Lol but instead of stick checking on his backhand he gives the bruins player an opening by going back to his forehand. Tavares should recognize the only place the leafs player can go is up the wall, go the other way Tavares still has support from his d-man. The only place the bruins player can go is up the wall and Tavares LITERALLY gives him the lane. I'm not even a bruins or leafs fan. Tavares is just bad.

Boston is too fast too good for TO. Defensively they are scary. Tops in the NHL with 83 PTS and tops GA AVG . Lots of hockey left.
I'm happy for Zacha. Seems like he was always snake-bitten when he was with the Devils. Like he would have shanked that goal-mouth chance if he were still playing with the Devils.

I just can't figure out if Samsonov is bad goalie with insane luck or is he actually good goalie. He has been a winning goalie for Caps and Leafs, but at the same time he often lets in really easy goals
Very disappointing to say the least. Just wanted our team to be contenders. What a shame.
