Down by six points with 20 seconds to play, Ladue needed a miracle to defeat Jennings and Jaylen Boyd was their answer. He scored six points in the final ten seconds to force overtime and eventually won 48-45 over Jennings in the Missouri Class 4 sectionals (sweet 16).
