Weak 5 minutes for the Leafs guy who didnt drop his gloves and just got thrown…. Some consistency with calls please? And I'm a Wings fan. AA just an overpaid bum who doesn't play defense and just looks for stretch pass breakaways… Not helping.

This was an intent to end Kerfoot’s hockey career and make his family whom he provides for suffer.
Injuries heal over time.
AA tried to permanently explode the other guy’s knee cap and put him on a wheelchair or at least on a cane for the rest of his life.
Even if he was suspended, it would be just 1 or 2 games, I mean Bortuzzo took out Arvidsson for 3 weeks and he got like 3 games

Very ugly looking play by AA. Look at his history here. Parts of 5 seasons in NHL with 282 GP and prior to this incident 95 PIM'S. He is a Lady Byng candidate for God's sake. Something really pissed him off and he didn't care which blue sweater it was he was gonna payback. Completely out of character for a very frustrated player. The league should have given him 3 game suspension and the holiday break would allow him about two weeks to get it together.

A lot of folks saying “intent to injure” but you’re not him? How do you know what he wanted? If you watch it closely Anthanasiou was about to make contact, Kerfoot feinted, and almost got a knee on knee, but AA didn’t change his leg position or stick it out in any clear fashion. So you can’t really say for certain. But folks think they know everything and that something “obvious” to them must be common knowledge 🤷♂️
No room for that. Take the L with sportsmanship. 4-1 and you’re having a losing season. I understand the frustration but no need to almost end someone’s career.

They should trade ANTHANASIOU to Edmonton. Fans say to me that he's apart of their young group… well realistically Detroit isn't going to be good in at least 2 years and by then he'll be 27. Players come and go and to have him in EDM would really help him out, and the team in need of depth.
As a Wings fan I can't wait to see Yzerman send this trash to the curb.
