CBJ really needs a rebrand…
With that being said, how about some smooth jazz? Imagine: “For those about to rock… Fire!” And then it cuts into some Coltrane and we all light up some cigars as Bedard nets his 74th goal in five games as a Jacket.
Ohio by black keys is the only answer forever.
I like personalized goal songs like some teams have started doing. Let the players show their personalities more. And it gets The Whip out of my life. It’s fine for the purpose it serves I guess but that song stinks out loud.

I think the problem is our multiple goal songs create confusion.
So it should just be the chili chant after each goal.
I like our goal song. I don’t understand everyone’s need to change things just for the sake of change.

The Whip is timeless and eternal. Fun and easy for the crowd to sing. Sure beats those shitty butt rock bro songs the majority of our division copycats with each other.
I actually had a really cool idea the other day that would change our entire goal song, including the “For Those About to Rock” part. We could mash up the song “Tick Tick Boom” by The Hives where when we score the “YEAHHHHHHHHHHH” part starts playing, then the “tick tick tick tick tick BOOM” synchronized up with the cannon shot, then break into the chorus of the song for the goal celebration part of the song.

I always thought it would be cool to have a civil war style drum (something like this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMRoWkaJZM4&ab_channel=Nattygsbord](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMRoWkaJZM4&ab_channel=Nattygsbord)) play prior to the cannon firing and then go into a rock song. Really lean into the team name and the cannon which is our unique thing amongst NHL teams.
I don’t know why these posts get down voted. The woah oh woah song absolutely blows. It’s cheesy, corny and just sounds stale.
Columbus’ biggest strength is their fans. Employing a fun, interactive goal song would go a long way for the fans. The one we have now is just background noise for celebrations.
One day I’d like to see CBJ allow submissions for new song recommendations and then leave it to a vote. I know there has to be a diamond in the rough out there that helps distinguish CBJ goal celebrations even more.
