Hard to believe I was 14 when he was drafted. I remember freaking out sitting infront of the TV when Gary announced the trade. Thanks for all the memories cap!

Bo was a game breaker in that St. Louis series, I’ll never forget some of the clutch goals he scored. His top period as a Nuck

  3. Standingbutsitting

Wish you all the best on the Isles. Hope you can show how good you are in the playoffs again there since it was wasted all these years here.

  4. canucklehead200

Does anybody have his alltime faceoff percentage with the Nucks? It seems he’s always been top 5-10 in the league. A Highly underrated stat that we’ll miss

  5. Bubbiesacat

I guess I’m happy we won’t see him in a bruins jersey.. unless Islanders trade Bo in a couple weeks for an even bigger haul!

    End of an era.

Thank you for all your hard work, Bo. Now go kill it in the East! Be rooting for you

Made the playoffs once in his captaincy and it was because of a covid technicality.

The room has been a mess almost his entire captaincy.

Cant blame him for either squarely but he didnt help. He was a likeable dude that never became the player the younger version looked like he was going to become.

Will be missed in the community more than on the ice and around the team.

  8. Hope he and his family get all they wanted out of the trade.

I’ll miss watching him take face offs.

Went to the home opener when he was given the captaincy. I really thought it was the beginning of a great season / era.
Went last Friday because of the rumours it could be his last game as a Canuck.

Thank you Bo, and good luck.

My head knew he had to go but my heart wanted him to stay! I’m glad I’m at Disneyland for this.

  11. we’ve traded two amazing captains of this team to the Isles ahha

  12. Deliximus

There’s a big part of me that wants an alternate reality of Bo staying and JT traded. fucking love him. Good luck to him, hope he finds success. This is looking like a great trade.

  13. bad_biologist

Good luck Bo! Have always been grateful he was in a Canucks uniform (and have a Jersey of my own). Classy player that will be missed.

My captain…. my king …. The void you shall leave in my heart won’t be easily filled. I wish you all the best and to me you will always be a Canuck. Thanks for always playing with heart and soul and keeping what I feel it means to be a Canuck alive and well. If we can not raise a cup together I shall lift a glass in your honour and wish you all the best . Thank you Bo… You will be missed. Long live the captain!
P.s I’m re posting my own comment I hope he can see this ( I’m a huge Horvat fan )

  15. placer128

First Manny Malhotra. Now Bo Horvat. Whose going to win the faceoffs now? Thanks Bo! And all the Best with Islanders!

  16. He made the Blues’ his bitch akin to Kesler and the Predators.

  17. SnooFoxes9450

All the best in the east, Bo!
Punish the Canucks nex5 time you play them! 🤣🤣🙃

  18. Specialist-Idea-5396

I will still be rooting for you in New York, Bo!!

  19. Megavore97

Always loved you Bo, absolute class act. Go kill em in the east.

  20. painfulbliss

One of those players who leave and you really want them to succeed. First legit jersey I bought.

  21. Sad to see him go 🙁 I really wished he’d be the one to keep

  22. I’m feeling really sad. Bo Horvat was a Canuck through and through, the face of the team, a strong performer, tough as nails. Sad to see him go. In fact, angry to see him go. Seeing management pat themselves on the back on TSN made me want to puke.

I hate this, like idek if i still wanna be a canucks fan, i was there his whole canucks run, i made my literal usernames “boeservat” , the first time i went to rogers place in edmonton, i got a shitty green screen picture of me in 6th grade standing next to a clearly fake horvat, one of my first canucks emails has burrows and horvat as 2 of the 3 stars against the preds, ive played countless years with him in nhl gm modes, i was technically one of the first people to try and change his wiki when he was named captain (got denied bc even though i did it live during the ceremony wiki didnt agree for some reason), im just so tired of being dissapointed by the canucks, like i knew this was gonna happen but it’s almost surreal… today i woke up and i didnt even see the trade on time, i fell asleep at like 4pm and saw it at like 9:40pm, now i just wanna go back to sleep because im so disappointed 🙁

Wish him the best. It hurts a lot. Can’t believe we chose to keep Miller instead.

One weird thing about Bo’s departure that isn’t his fault? He came in right when the 2011 was on the downswing, and we’re all kind of hoping that this trade might signal the turning of a corner with the team’s fortunes. As a result, and also because he was the captain… Bo kind of personifies and represents that stretch between the 2011 team and now. Everyone complains about how the last decade has gone, but he’ll always be the face of that era. Maybe that’s unfair to Bo, but he’s the only one who went through it all with us.

If we’re shit for another decade, well, maybe it’ll be a less apt observation. But for right now? Put aside the tangible elements of the trade, and it absolutely represents the end of one era and the beginning of another. It’s up to the organization how well this new era goes.

Crying over spilled milk but shoulda kept Bo over JT

I think he did the best he could as captain, brand ambassador, and player. The team around him just stunk his entire tenure. With a better squad, he’d have way more respect. It’s too bad about that miller contract. He was the better player.
