Everyone is talking about locking up Matthews this summer but I think Nylander should be just as much of a priority. Letting this man go as he’s entering his prime and such an important part of the team would be a colossal mistake.

Now that was a good game!! :):) Is it just me or did Marner redirect Holl’s pass to Matthews? Watched the replay about 50 times and really slowed it down. Holl’s pass hits the boards, goes straight for Marner’s stick and slight changes direction. Could just be my eyes but if isnt it’s darn close.

Now that was a fun game. The 2nd line was BANANAS after Nylander and Marner got switched. I still think Matthews-Nylander and Tavares-Marner is the way to go as Matthews-Marner can go hot and cold and they weren’t particularly great this game outside of a couple of shifts.
But I love Keefe mixing it up when he feels it’s necessary. I really hated that the 1st and 2nd line last season were stapled together no matter what.

I’ve wanted to buy a Nylander jersey for a long-ass time (you know how they always say, sit on a big purchase to make sure you really want it?) and watching the highlights from this game again, I just switched over to the RS website and pulled the trigger.
Amazing that we still have him at $7M for a year more.
