/r/mildlyinteresting material, but I didn’t realize a) he was on the Predators now, and b) that he’s playing on their AHL affiliate team.

He needs to come back and fight Bortuzzo in practice. Change it up a bit and get the Blues going.

In 2019 he was a top 6 winger who scored the final goal of the Stanley Cup.
I won’t dog pile on the man for being in the AHL. He had a great career that we would all sell our souls to get a taste of.

I’ll never understand how players let this happen.
Sanford HAS skill. But he’s just another player who has come through, like Berglund, and more recently Kostin, and possibly Brown, who just doesn’t doesn’t put forth the effort.
I think it’s absolutely INSANE that he’s in the minors with his talent. He’s certainly not a top line guy, but he can absolutely be a competent bottom 6 forward with the ability to score. And IIRC, he was decent on the PK for a while as well. He’s 28 years old; he could easily play for another 5-7 years if he applied himself.
All about the work ethic.

This guy scored the final goal for the team that won a game 7 Stanley cup final.
