According to David Pagnotta on The Fourth Period, it appears the Vancouver Canucks have expressed interest in Columbus Blue Jackets defenceman Seth Jones, as well as Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi will not come cheap. Yzerman would want the Canucks first round pick which I think is 9. Yzerman would probably get another pick in the 3rd or 4th round this year and possibly a good prospect. Or obtain a 2nd round from the Canucks. If Yzerman can get the 9th pick then he can draft one of the top goal tenders and pickup a defenseman and a forward with 6 or 22?
canucks dont have any one in management smart enough to get either player,, they just got A-HOLES in the head office ,, im sure will just get a bunch of garbage over priced player..

Hey Lego..Shhhhhhh..We dont want to scare the Canucks in dealing with Yzerman…Stevie is a Fleece Artist..Seriously, any deal for Bertuzzi would have to be for a Quality young center ..The Red Wings have plenty of good young wingers in the pipeline moving up quickly….But we need a #1 Center Badly..I still think because of Eichels age, he could kick the tires a bit on him if the medicals on the neck look positive, but i will admit its Very unlikely unless Buffalo slashes the price for him significantly..
Bertuzzi will not be going to Vancouver or Toronto. Stevie would expect a lot in return, won't happen.
No need to worry, the Canucks never do anything big. Although, they did actually get Toffoli for one season but then oops gave him away and he rocked it playing for Montreal.

I would love to see Bertuzzi on Vancouver but as you said Yzerman would want more. How About a Mason Appleton and Erik Czernak getting traded to Vancouver
From Red Wing fan, for a player like Bertuzzi, who didn't play much last season. And wasn't mentioned much around the NHL. He sure has become a better player in the last week or so! (g) Too many fans think teams like the Red Wings just want to give players to other teams. The Red Wings really want to get the advantage in trades, if at all possible. You may not like what you get in a trade for Bertuzzi. Think of an Eichel like trade. But with draft choices, for Bertuzzi.

I don’t think yzerman will trade bert unless the trade is super one sided for the wings. Bert does everything you need a player to do to play winning hockey and he’ll never break the bank. He’s a perfect complement player in your top six that will win almost every board battle and always give 100%, be a good net front presence, and be really smart all 200 feet.
