  1. The only thing I like about Boston is Pasta… DETHOCKEYNOW has some Canucks news lol

  2. As a Red Wings fan I'm kinda hoping the Wings will hire Cassidy and the Bruins will have an organizational meltdown to ease up the playoff races in the Eastern Conference!

  3. From the sounds of it, Sweeny was caught in the middle and had to be the guy who came across as the liar, when it was actually Cam Neely who had the axe and swung it on Cassidy. In pro sports, coaches are hired to be fired, but you would expect some decency and respect from management on things like this – as much as they get paid very well and accept that firing is a part of that life, it is still a person and a family's livelihood that gets thrown into turmoil by this… Stay classy, Cam Neely!

  4. I’ve heard from a bruins fan that has some connections that some players (and specifically Bergeron being one of them) didn’t like Cassidy’s approach

  5. Neely wanted him out. Neely ands Sweeney should be gone. We are going to have to sit through a sorry a$$ season next year. The Sweeney firing will come one year too late. Neely , Sweeney think they will get a Stanley cup with Norbert, Foligno, Carlo, Frederick……….??? Hey Neely, remember when you got rid of that guy named Segin? You got nothing for him. Step down Neely and take Don with you.

  6. I wouldn’t want to work in an organization where they treat a coach like this. I was never a huge fan of the team but I can’t help but feel sorry the players. Morale is not gonna look good

  7. After hearing Neely's comments about Cassidy at the end of season press conference, wouldn't surprise me at all if it was ultimately his decision. Makes me wonder how many of the bone headed decisions have been made by him, even going back to the Chiarelli days. I'm quite certain Neely was in strong favor of shipping out Seguin. I shutter when I think the Bruins could have had a roster with Seguin and Pastrnak in addition to the core guys. Seguin had his breakout season playing RW on the Bergeron/Marchand line. Pastrnak could have been playing with Krejci the entire time. Instead they ended up with guys like Loui Eriksson and David Backes. Dang.
