Granato: “I really think there’s more pressure on us at home because our guys care so much. They care about our fans, they care about our city … and it’s evident to me they put more pressure and it becomes negative pressure on themselves at home than they would on on the road.”
Does that explain everything? I think there’s probably more to it—including luck, how well the opponent matches up against the Sabres, etc. But you ask a good question….they’re 9-11-2 at home and 12-7-0 on the road (according to Statmuse).
Edit: I just now realize you posted a link to a story and weren’t just asking a question. My bad. Reminder to self…coffee first, post second.

I went to 1 game and they won, so… who wants to fund me travelling from Hartford for every remaining home game?

How’s the noise level? Haven’t been to a game yet this year.

I think it’s a young team problem. It seems like things are a little more lax at home. They make good plays and such, but it seems like things aren’t quite as sharp.

Home ice has been found to offer a 3.5% advantage in the NHL. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

You can’t score 6 every game, and sometimes your opponents just play really well. I wouldn’t make too much of it yet.
That and we have more D problems than a 60 yrold man.
