Derek Ryan stripped Quinn Hughes at the blueline before passing off to Kailer Yamamoto, who scored a sweet top shelf goal for a shorthanded tally.

  1. I literally read « Derek Ryan trips Quinn Hughes » then I watch the vid and was like : « yeah wtf, how is that not a trip ». I then reread the title and was really confused

  2. you can blame the ref for the missed call. on the other hand you have to think about hughes's poor decision to skate to the middle of the ice directly in traffic (3 oilers).

  3. Classic Hughes play. He's more beneficial to the Canucks opponents than to the Canucks themselves. I guarantee, before his contract is up, he'll be as despised by Canucks fans as Loui was!

  4. Even though he arguably gets tripped (Ryan got a touch on the puck first. Slow it down), why would he try to play hero and skate through 3 players when he had all that open ice on the left side?? Very Poor decision making. Slow down the video and Derek Ryan got a touch on the puck first which is probably why they didn’t call the trip.
