Boston Bruins Dan Vladar to Make First Career NHL Start Against Pittsburgh Penguins

Boston Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that Daniel Vladar will be making his first career NHL start tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins had another tough loss in the first of the back to back games against the Penguins hopefully an injection of youth with goalie Dan Vladar and forward Oskar Steen will help them get the win. In this video I talk about Vladar’s career so far and also talk about the other Bruins goalie prospect Jeremy Swayman.

  1. I can’t help but feel like this team is built fine, they just lack confidence in scoring right now, I think these next two games against Buffalo is a chance for the B’s to feel good about themselves again, and maybe, start scoring more goals. I’m not sure trading everyone and panicking is the best move here.

  2. Vladar looked shaky in his brief appearance and while it is unfair to judge him on that I need to be convinced. I'm with you on Swayman. Prefer Steen to Bjork. Prefer anyone to Bjork come to think of it.

  3. Random question but I was wondering your thoughts on Jimmy Vesey. Is it stupid to suggest? He’s league minimum and he’s got three more goals than Debrusk. Look I get he’s really not that good and realistically half the player of Debrusk but if he’s a third liner can actually score the occasional freaking point I don’t think it’s the WORST addition they could make for a league minimum contract. I personally think that makes a Bjork or a Senyshen or even a Debrusk become even THAT much more expendable in a package deal. I know that could be a huge reach and for the thousandth time before people light me up for saying that I get Jimmy Vesey is not that good but like man the Bruins have like five combined goals for their entire bottom six dude. He’s basically free. I trust your opinion on this more than most lmaoo

  4. Lets see whatcha got kid. Bruins need a spark and a young goalie putting on a show could be it.

  5. I think they had to go with Vladar he has been the backup a few times and on the taxi squad, has more pro experience at this point, I do think he has the talent to be a Ben Bishop type. Swayman is going to be great, but don't want to rush him yet. Keyser is another goalie in time that could play on the NHL. I like giving Steen a chance and someone mentioned Veysey, why not cheap contract and no assets go out to get him, can't be any worse than Wagner, Kuraly or Bjork and then it allows Sweeney to include any of those guys in deals.
