As a ref, we are instructed to call every slash even if it miss. The motion is enough to call penalty. I dont agree with it, but as I said…we NEED to call that.
Draisaitl groupie here: No penalty at all, JM clearly hit the stick. But if you look closely you can see LD's index finger react to the pure violance of the hit so one could think LD really felt that one, thus going into his signature revers hit. I totally understand JM's frustration but in the end the PP went nowhere anyway. After all the backlash the officials were facing the last weeks they tend to 'overcorrect' if you ask me.
Just shows Edmonton oilers are the nhls golden pony this year. Thanks to the great conner mcwhine and leonbitchsydle…….I just wanna add too it's easy too to be the best pp when u get 5 pp a night……
You can't 2 hand a guy like that…Rule 61 Any forceful or powerful chop with the stick on an
opponent’s body, the opponent’s stick, or on or near the opponent’s hands that, in the judgment of the Referee, is not an attempt to play the puck, shall be penalized as slashing.
The refs in this game were a joke, Mcdavid elbowed marchessault in the back of the head and knocked his helmet off, no call. Marchessault barely slashes draisaitl, penalty. Notice a pattern here?
Lol, most ppl. have no idea about hockey rules. This is a perfect example of slashing, almost a textbook slash.
He's forcefully taking a swing, with a long reach back, no chance to ever play the puck. That's slashing, and that is so crystal it's even funny he's upset. Slashing is not always called, if the slash is not so forcefully, from closer range and in a better position to actually play the puck. But by no means it's a legal hockey play to simply chop at the opponents player with your stick from the side or top like that to prevent him to make a play.
Easy call for the refs, must call.
Here's the rule: Rule 634 | Slashing
(Note) Slashing is the act of a player swinging their stick at an opponent, whether contact is made, or not. Any forceful chop with the stick on an opponent’s body or opponent’s stick, on or near the opponent’s hands, shall be considered slashing.
Same slash like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUFOUGN3A_g but there people agree that's a slash. Ooooh, Aho broke Protases stick, that's why it was slash, but Marchessaults wasnt?!

Awesome content!!!
Marche-assault turned Marche-bitch.
One again showing his inner child behaviour
Oilers are almost always great out the gate ,didn't they have home ice all last Stanley ( bubble)cup playoffs last season ???
He really became a little bitch on the Panthers and now he's turned into a real crybaby for Vegas
Can't stand this guy. Cries about every call that is clearly obvious.
If that’s what they call a slash then they’ve been missing out on a lot of calls…
get this clown out of the league

Knights get away with so much they're getting mad when called on clear black on white infractions
1000th view lesssss gooooo

Good grief. Jens has truly shown me how shitty the refs are in this league.
I just was watching another video with a bad call and now this come on Refs get your act together.
I mean, the call IS pretty three-ply soft, but at the same time, Marchessault complains far too much

Marchisalt will be salty till April
Wtf do the ref says in the begining 😂
Weak af
It's KOZARI what do you expect
And people say Vegas Golden refs, yeah right 🙄
This is ALWAYS crying….
He did slash the glass after. Justified call
Удивляюсь, почему НХЛ не работает с судьями. К обслуживанию матчей допускаются слабо подготовленные, либо предвзятые судьи.
Whoever helps with designs for the knights needs to be fired. Mustard jerseys and truffle helmets….
Where does it end??
Shhhyyyyt that's not a slash fackin refs watching the wrong game
I don't really agree with the call, but Marchessault's tears bless my soul with youthful exuberance.
The problem is he swings like a golfer at Draisaitls stick. It looks like a slash but he only hits the stick from the side.
Marshmellow always has a tantrum over anything. He needs some anger management groups or something. He’s always yelling and whining
Terrible call!

Marchessault was being a baby all game lmao
Lmao vegas fans will never cease to provide entertainment.

"hUrR dUrR hOw Is ThAt A sLaSh, He BaReLy ToUcHeD hIm"
Stay dense, vegas

Didn't hit the hands, so probably a weak call.
But the Golden Girls get so many calls their way I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me a little happy
That little fuck literally complains about everything
They call bullshit like that but let boarding and hits to the head go.
NHL sucks bow
The knights should have been penalized for eye roughing for forcing those unis on the world
typical VGoonie Knights action!!
This guy is a god for actually calling a penalty on them
