My god, Aquilini's even pressuring the medical staff to rush players back to the ice. I can't explain or reconcile the situation any other way. Jim Rutherford needs to grow some balls and keep Demko off the ice (no blame to Demko BTW), or else he's going to end up being Cory Schneider 2.0
For me the jersey is unnecessary. I'm a big fan of this seasons RR just wear those. Also I'm not a fan of a rebuild. If Demko gets back to playing well and they get a solid D they should be OK. (I know that's alot of ifs and shoulds).

Thank you so, so much for talking about depression, Shannon. As a person who dealt with bouts of depression in the past, as a person who has helped others through bouts of depression in the past, and as a person currently studying to get a masters in psychology and (hopefully soon) become a therapist, I am extremely thankful for what you said. I meet a good amount of people who treat mental health like it is bogus or insignificant, denouncing it simply because they don't understand it, and there is a tendency for many people to not believe something exists if they don't understand it. I think this is even more of an issue in sports, where people are supposed to be tough and there is the stigma of depression (and other mental health issues) as a sign of mental weakness. I think understanding mental health is becoming better understood and accepted, so I really appreciate anyone who helps to spread this awareness. So, thank you so much, Shannon, not just for the wonderful hockey content you provide, but also for being a levelheaded human being who does things to help others (like this raising of awareness of mental health). Much love and respect to you!!!

"Self Investigation " means self reflection but not owning up to your mistakes and/or negligence.
I'm always a bit skeptical of organizations that investigate themselves. You can pretty much guess that 99.9% of the time they did nothing wrong (see Bruins and the Mitchell case, Boucher and Lamoriello). I'm guessing that's why we've seen no outcome with junior hockey scandal. As with so many hockey scandals (and in all sports and entertainment for that matter) most upper management is ignorant of anything that goes on. There will never be complete justice.

Bettman needs to force Aquillini to sell the team to Ryan Reynolds. Hire Trevor Linden as GM hire the twins as AGM and do a total rebuild.
