  1. I was hoping to see Rivera against Eierman in this bracket and they're both out… It's all about who peaks in March

  2. Notice you turned off comments for the Lea Thomas competition. Going to allow him to complete with children next?

  3. I just don’t understand why you can’t put the scoring table 5 ft back? Wrestlers need to feel confident that they can finish the move like they normally would, without having to avoid something

  4. I think the difficulty of the Big 10 season takes a toll on those guys and they’re not close to their best by the time the tournament rolls around. I think Dekin was smart to wrestle like 9 total matches before the dance. Next year I predict coaches will manage the wrestlers’ work load better. Not great for fans but that meat grinder is crazy.

  5. Think he lost he is too small for that weight!! Why do I say that? Had a small friend who was a two time state champ! He believed he was invisible so he bumped up two weight classes!! And so he did he was fat and happy! Until his finals match! Went 1-1 OT! Off the whistle he went and got the take down!! However the 2nd seated guy just seemed much more huge and just smooshed him on his shots! But this is just an observation opinion

  6. It’s unfortunate that Mathew’s stalled literally from second 1 to minute seven and the refs did absolutely nothing about it. Did the man even take a shot?

It was all defense and counter offense. There’s no consistency in reffing. Also the refs weren’t giving Mathew’s a 5 count in the first period when he repetitively was dropping down to Riveras leg while on top in the first period. That being said, Rivera just has to find a way to get it done no matter what, and he wasn’t able to do that- IMO it looked like due to his knee injury.

  7. maybe i'm just a wrestling nerd, but is anyone else utterly amazed at what happened at 0:43? rivera shucked him so hard that his leg came up for an easy single. that is insane, I've never seen anything like that before

  8. Sebastian’s knee injury really hurt his chances at a National Championship! 5 time All American ain’t chopped liver!!!

  9. I wish he wrestled with the urgency he had in the third period the whole match. He would of ran away with this match.

  10. There is a stat out there that over 90 percent of the time whoever gets the first takedown wins the match. Matthews came back and vs an unbeaten wrestler is impressive. Strong mindset.

  11. i remember when i watched Cole beat my teammates up when i was in middle school not knowing i was gonna see him out here in the future
