He gets bought out end of this season. almost certainly at this point
No wonder teams didn't pick him up on waivers!
He basically spent 3 months in some addiction rehab. That means zero ice time and probably very little work out time. My best guess is that it's all about getting back in playing shape. No big deal this year as the Wings will be sellers next month and will start getting ready for next year.
Wouldn’t be suprised if Nashville claims him 😂
I won’t say he’s a bust for us. But I’m over it at this point.
You know how every NHL rule was created because someone found a loop hole that they abused, I want to hear about what lead to that limit ot NHL vets in the AHL, was it a full team stacked of NHL talent?
A lot of people pay for broken objects. Things that aren't fully represented. Things that are mis-advertised. However, to catagorize a 5.25 mil doll bust for 2 years plus in time as anything but a bust is kind of funny, Mr Yzerman saves 1.125 mil on it but players is still not producing points, and now he's not producing points at the AHL level, is what you're telling me. Whether you value the millions of dollars wasted or the time spent, either one its not good.
I'm fine with parting ways with Vrana… I'd rather see money spent elsewhere.
If he is anywhere near a 30 goal scorer he will get picked up next season after he is bought out. Even if it's a prove it deal he will have a team to play with.
I just don't understand it. Why not just get him back up in Detroit, get him top line minutes, pump up his value, and then trade him. Why go through all of these value deflating moves? I dunno, there has to be a better way.
Fans turn on players so fast.
My thoughts? This is completely a non-issue being blown way out of proportion.
don't worry it's all part of the yzerplan lol 🤪
I think he fell out of fashion last year when the team wanted him to get his shoulder fixed during the off season and he refused their proposal. Then showed up late for training camp, was on the ice for like 2 minutes and needed shoulder surgery. Then 2 games this year and the rest is history…
Vrana is basically going through training camp by playing games in the AHL. He didn't play for two months. I am only slightly concerned for his play, more concerned on his feelings about the Red Wings.
I hope he comes back strong watching hockey for 35 years and he’s got extreme talent I wish him the best
