We’re talking about the idea of the Montreal Canadiens trading Cole Caufield in a package for Connor Bedard.

Is it feasible, is it plausible, would you do it?

  1. Caufield is the only consistent player on the team. Proven performer. Trade him for Bedard? The answer would be beyond no…

  2. No, you don't lmao. That is insane. Put it like this: Bedard is a 15. Cole is a 9. Those two 1st rounders are AT LEAST 7's. At minimum, the Cole package is a 23 vs. Bedard at 15.
Any Habs fan that considers this is nuts tbh

  3. I would do it if both picks are out of the top 5, if we get 2/3 + something arround 7, it would be insane to do the trade.

Every team wants a 100 points guy but if you focus on that over having say 2 PPG guys + a good 2nd liner you're insane.
It would be like trading the Matthews+Marner+Bunting for Mcdavid.

  4. McDavid and the Oilers has shown us that one generational talent doesn't win cups. So if MTL ends up having 1 pick in the top 4 and the other top 10 no way in hell would I do that trade. This draft class is stacked. The top ten picks alone consist of one generational player and 9 potential elite. I'd rather have two elite players to add onto the extremely talented core that MTL has over one generational talent and loosing Caufield.

  5. What seems like a "Slam Dunk Hell Yes !!" to you probably seems like a "Slam Dunk F*ck No !!" to the other team…

  6. No I'd rather keep tanking and play both of them on the same line.

At this rate either we're going to get Bedard + another superstar in the making or 2 superstars in the making. Be patient…

  7. Its a dumb trade if bedard is as good habs got a steal if he isnt the habs look like morons and trade away their future we already have a good fututre why jepordize that for bedard and they have bedard why trade him away its dumb on both sides

  8. I would trade Drouin for Bédard and Hoffman for McDavid and Draisaitl lol

  9. Bedard will fill seats anywhere he goes , I don’t think caufield has that pull, no sane person would make that trade tabernac

  10. Whatch what you say bro conner mcdavid was sopposed to win the calder if it wasnt for Manning he would have but bedard will get crushed and im not being bitter but bedard is still smaller then mcdavid

  11. I feel like Caufield has everything to become a 50 goals scorer in a couple of years. Bedard will probably be the better player overall but if one of those first picks end up being a Mathew Tkatchuk or a Charlie McAvoy this could make the habs such a better team that we are at the moment. You don't make a contender team with just one superstar player nowadays.

  12. you were about due for a Cole Caufield video. this is like the 45th video on him

  13. What is wrong with this channel? Not even 10 caulfieds. He is not even close to anywhere near bedards level of play. Why do people think caulfield is so good when he is average at best?

  14. its not trading for Bedard its stacking for picks ahead of time. Why not Slafkovsky? Suzuki? and ….

  15. if Bedard ends up in Arizona, where does Cooley go?? Winnipeg? (see Mr Wheeler) And what happens to Doan at ASU? I would be seriously shopping their prospects, with the volumes of draft picks they have, in various rounds already drafted. Open Season.

  16. Sillinger had the same number of goals in full season that McDavid did. And played the full season.

  17. ok what about tim stu debrincate and ottawas first overall for bedard? or would it even be on the table at that point? i dont think you want to give to much away to get him but would it be thought about to me as i see it bedard isnt the playmaker mcdavid and crosby are.

  18. This is such a dumb conversation 😀 You could wrap any decent young player w/ a ton of picks for Bedard and it would be the same deal, and still no one would trade him obviously. This topic is a waste of space.

  19. No one is giving up Bedard. Not even the Canucks are stupid enough to do that…I think.

  20. I would NOT! d it at the moment but it's another question after knowing where the Habs and habs 2nd(Florida) pick are after the lotery. In my opinion. Caufeild + Fantilli are over Bedard but… It's to soon to make any trade. And any GM will want to know where are theses picks before doing the trade anyway so let's talk about this after 2023 june 29th.
