The more everyone talks about the record the more his plays and shots are becoming rejuvenated into his mid 20's, it's surreal. Let's not forget without 2005, 2013 and 2020 and 2021 seasons being altered he would have 900+ by now.

If he can maintain current production (which I doubt), he could break 1,000 goals if he signs a 2-year extension and plays until he's 41. If he signs a 3-year deal, and plays till 42, he's basically guaranteed to hit 1,000 at age 42.
Ovie is having an amazing season. Started slow with a horrendous +/- after 20 games. The past 20 games he has 20 goals is + 25 and one of the biggest factors to Washington s success. If he can keep it up the second half of the season he is a mvp candidate and perhaps his first 60 goal season in 15 years.
Was there last night and the cheering from fans of both teams was similar to an "Aaron Judge HR Chase" vibe. Chants of "Ovi, Ovi, Ovi" from all around after the goal. Can you imagine the games as he approaches the record. I can only hope to be so lucky as to be there for one of them.

Another season, another a milestones, reached a 800 goals, then has become a 2nd goalscorer all time with the goal 802 and he's still has the opportunity reaching the one more + milestone if he will score 50+ goals ( and will become the only player with 50+ goals in 10 seasons) OMG 😱🔝
why cant someone just track his movement in relationship to the puck on these patented goals in order to teach this as a method of scoring goals. it honestly looks like he does figure 8 paterns moving in and out of coverage to shooting lanes 🤷♂️
