    I've said here before that I really like Anderson and his "power" game…. he's big, fast, can drop the gloves…..he is a prototypical power forward and those types of players are not easy to come by. On a better Habs team he'd be upwards of 15+ goals at this point but his game is suffering along with the team's nosedive to the cellar. Soooo…..having said that the Habs may be looking to unload him and if Calgary is in the mix they should ask for Mangiapane in return….. he's small but has shown he can score and he's struggling this year. He's a winger and maybe a new home in Montreal might be just what he needs. Mangiapane and assets for Anderson. Could benefit both teams.

    Tarasenko and panarin are buddies. He tried to get the Blues to sign panarin before he signed with Chicago. I suspect he’d welcome th chance to play in the big Apple

    Barbishev is a quality hockey player. I’d hate to see him go but changes need to happen in St. Louis. He doesn’t do anything great but he does a lot of things very well. He was a huge piece of the cup team. It didn’t surprise anyone in St. Louis that the blues lost the game

    And why th heck would Montreal want to trade a big fast physical power forward for a guy 6 inches shorter that does not produce offensively more ? Calgary is gonna have to dish out a whole lot more than Magiapane if they want Anderson.

    What a rental like Tarasenko would cost NYR is NOT worth it. Not a chance. Rangers are in no position to gamble promising future on a rental this year. In a couple years when Kakko, Laf, Chytil, Fox etc are in their prime with still effective Panarin and Zibanajed and Kreider, yea. Not now though.

    Anderson is a win now player and Habs are 2-3 years away from the playoffs when he'll be in his 30's. I like him but imo Andy, Edmunson and Monahan all need to be dealt for best offer available.

    WJCs were very entertaining, lots of great hockey action, and Canada takes the Gold, oh yeah. Shane Wright is headed back to the OHL, eh? That is very interesting to me, makes me think the Kraken are plotting something long-term. Good Choices by the League for the NHL All-Stars IMHO. Being a fan of both teams, I'm OK with Tarasenko going to the NYR, but, who would they send to STL? Prospects would be good, since it appears the Blues are heading towards a retool/rebuild for the next couple of seasons, as it seems several veterans will be departing–thanks for another excellent report, very enjoyable.

    Do you think that Calgary would move Adam Ruzika for Josh Anderson.Ruzika is a left shot he could be a left wing instead.Montreal is weak on the left
