Where’s u/duoet with the new record count?

  2. TwoForHawat

Can someone do the meme where first Drake looks disgusted and write “Flyers get Connor Bedard” and then where Drake gives his approval and write “Flyers do the last ten years all over again” please?

  3. TheNordicEnd

Did you see that contending teams?! Did you see that Kevin Hayes performance? Boy oh boy I think he will fit perfect for you contenders as the #3 center! We will retain 15% of his salary and we will start the bidding war at a second round pick!

  4. Wekilledit88

We are never getting Bedard anyway. I like winning. Torts is a godsend. I was skeptical of him but god damn does the team respond.

Lots of insufferable replies to my comment. I like winning but understand we’re going nowhere. I can like Torts and understand this is a process. Fucking whiners in here bitching about winning 4 in a row as if we’re gonna make the playoffs and miss a top ten pick. Literally no one in this thread thinks we’re making the playoffs and if they mention playoffs they immediately say it’s far fetched. Stop it. We can enjoy a small win streak before we inevitably start another losing streak.

  5. Scary_Breadfruit4976

Six goals, one penalty kill, and a four-game win streak if the game wasn’t over I’d say pinch me cuz it definitely seems like I’m dreaming and I love every second of it

  6. madbrendon

I did not expect that 2nd period after the 1st period

  7. Guys I used to say 58-17-7 as a joke but I don’t think it’s a joke anymore

  8. GimmickyBulb

The five spot in the second has me feeling some kinda way

  9. Roll-Me-Through

Glad for this win. The tank will roll on soon enough, but for the mental well-being of our players, we need something to feel good about. First 4-game win streak in two years is sweet. And Hart needed to pick up a win here vs the Yotes coming in after Ersson’s showing.

  10. UnloosedMoose

I don’t know what I hate more, that they’re winning or that they took the joy of being happy over wins from me. At this point I hope we can get into the top 4, doubt it, but whatever.

  11. WooderFountain

Is it too early to scoreboard-watch? If 8th place NYI lose to EDM tonight (down 0-1 atm) and the Flyers win their game in hand, we’re 7 points from a playoff spot. I know this means nothing, but it’s something.

  12. I want the Flyers to finish 20th in the league every season until the sun burns out.

  13. ArcanumAntares

I’m not a fan of tanking. The Flyers could end up dead-last in the standings and they still won’t get Bedard. I had low expectations for their season, so I’m just going to enjoy the wins.

  14. frwrddown

This is the first flyers game I’ve been to in 3 years. I get that they’re not that good but the vibe inside the WFC was something I’ve never experienced before. Dead silent, lots of empty seats. It just seemed so low energy compared to all the games I’ve been to in the past. Leaving in an Uber rn feeling weird 🥴.

  15. GimmickyBulb

Media: do you play Ersson or Hart next?

Tortorella: I’ve been in the league a hundred years and know nothing about that position.

  16. ArcanumAntares

The next five games will be interesting.

  17. GimmickyBulb

    Frost: Woot! Four point night.

    *Gets third star*

    Frost: 🫠

  18. GimmickyBulb

I imagine Risto seeing Hart back on the ice was a lot like Obi Wan when he realized Anakin was still alive.

  19. pwnstick

    4 apples, nice.

I wonder how many players have done this outside of G and Voracek in the last 8 years?

  20. TheNordicEnd

Who needs Bedard when you have Morgan Frost?

  21. brewcrew2_2

I predict the Flyers will have the most points among NHL teams during the 2023 calendar year but miss the playoffs in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons

  22. PingleWhoAnnoys

All the crying in a PGT where we won is pathetic.

Who do you morons expect to intentionally underperform?

The players? And risk their career earnings? Why would they ever do that?

Torts? Again, why would he do that? It just hurts his legacy and potential future earnings.

The only way we are going to tank is by trading off our current talent. But our only talented players are 25 and under, who is exactly who you don’t trade when rebuilding.

Y’all act like the only way teams ever improve is by losing. It is /A/ way teams improve, but it doesn’t fit the scenario we currently find ourselves in. We would be much better off making savy trades (if we can dump Hayes contract at minimal cost, I would be related) and attracting talent in FA next year.

We have a very talented young core, franchise goaltending, and we’re 1-3 years from having significant cap space.

Bedard would be great, but there are at least 10 teams in the league worse than us, so it is highly unlikely we will out-tank the garbage the league has to offer.

  23. Nutella_Flyers

If we’re not bad enough to tank we might as well win the cup

  24. DanTreview

And here I stand before you all, fully erect 🍆🍆🍆

  25. DH28Hockey

There have been 3 active generational talents who’ve entered the league in the past 20 years, and they have a combined 4 Stanley Cup Wins.

Mackinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog, Makar all weren’t generational talents. Hedman, Stamkos, Point, Kucherov all weren’t generational talents. ROR, Pietrangelo, Tarasenko, all weren’t generational talents. I could go on…

Rebuilds take a long time, the short ones last around 4ish years, the long ones can take up to twice as long.

We all know this team isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. They’re going to spend the next handful of years getting high picks (including this year). There are going to be 14 other fanbases who also had to deal with their teams missing the playoffs and also not landing Bedard. And if I had to guess, a couple of them will probably win a Cup in the next 10 years.

I guess what I’m trying to say is: winning 4 games in a row isn’t going to destroy this franchise. Try to enjoy little moments of fun hockey, because we aren’t going to get many the next several years if they’re going to rebuild this team the right way

  26. EmoGothPunk

Huh, the period I fell asleep, they get five. I’m glad I DVR’d the rest of the game. I feel like I should do that more often……or not if we want the tank.

  27. TyperMcTyperson

The only thing I learned from this game is that AZ is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad. They made the flyers looks really good.

  28. Snips_Tano

It’s a shame because it’s a decent core we have. But we’re hamstrung by bad contracts and our GM and scouting department sucks ass.
