They’ve been playing him to up his trade value, putting him in showcase to let the league what he’s about. What the leafs don’t know is the book is out on him, he’s great but he doesn’t play. Man is constantly injured.
i used to play in a bar league here in Canada. I forget the name of the team we played a few times. They had an ex Oiler on the team and he fired one off at me and it caught me right in the inside elbow right at the bend. I hit the ice screaming in pain i could not move my arm or pick up my goalie stick for over an hour. Lesson learned always check your equipment.
This is just my opinion, but being a goaltender is probably the most dangerous position in hockey. Never mind the fact that you have pucks fired at you traveling up to 100+ MPH the entire game, and your job description is literally to stop them. Take into consideration all the moving and pivoting you have to do while doing so, as well as getting hit in the areas those pads don't protect. And in the case of rushes and net battles, the pucks aren't your only threat. Just ask Clint Malarchuk.
An extremely high pain tolerance and razor-sharp reflexes are a must. And even that won't save you sometimes.
Only 0:06, it’s hard not to notice Stolarz is down with his back facing the ceiling of Scotiabank Arena. He looked to be in rough shape, and I won’t be surprised if before June’s NHL Draft he doesn’t play another game.

JUST BEFORE PLAYOFFS TOO FUUUU-
Oh wait they suck thats right
Guys a soup sandwich
That’s tragic. Hope he heals up well 💙
Gotta wonder how much longer Stolarz will be able to make it in the show, guy cant stay healthy.
And no one fought Hutson…
This is getting ridiculous.
If you can't pull that off you shouldn't be a goalie.
Goalies destroy their knees and hips for this game. People don't talk enough how hard on the body goaltending is
What is that idiot at 0:45 yelling?
Poor guy. The only bright spot for the leafs too….
Bad enough my groin shrivels up watching a goalie do the splits making a save….. 😬
Once again the Leafs don't stand up for an injured teammate.
That's a groin. See you next year.

Dropped into butterfly and broke.. seems stable
This just sums up how the Leafs season has gone.
There goes his trade value
Damn the leafs are so cursed
Soft as baby shit, what a pansy LMFAO.
Stolarz is made of broken egg shells 🥚
It was nice career

is the screaming in the room with us
Dude is made of glass
More than half the NHL worthy goaltenders don’t make it to the show because their cartilage and ligaments get completely worn down.

Get rid of him in the off season. Woll and Hildeby tandem next year. Stolarz is soft as fuck
Wishing him the best. I like Stolarz. Good dude and solid netminder.
Hope he recovers speedily
As a Rangers fan, it’s been such a weird season for Toronto. Hopefully things can get better next season
Hate to see it. I hope the big man recovers and is 100% again soon.
Hope he's okay and makes a quick recovery. I always show people videos like this. You can have serious injuries in hockey from just being in the rink.
How the heck did Hasek, Roy, Luongo, Fleury and Brodeur and those guys do this for 1,000+ games?
