Yzerman clings to these "prospects" until their contracts expire in GR or overseas. It's becoming more and more useless as time goes on. The team can afford to send 3 guys and a draft pick for a Matthews or similar. In fact, they could do this 3 times over. There's not much on this team that isn't generic and replaceable.
On a side note; I'd love to see Kane benched for the remainder of the season and not re-signed. It's time to move on.
Seider is literally NOT ALLOWED to play at his full potential as a "mean machine" or skating the puck up the ice in the offensive zone as we use to see in his rookie season, this is all because THEY CANT AFFORD TO HAVE HIM IN THE PENALTY BOX!! lol the dude plays more than half the game on every situation and outside of him our defensive system is horrendous. So quite literally he is not allowed to lay those big hits and get rough.. they are limiting this BEASTS potential to keep him on the ice
I definitely think that if Brady Tkachuk is available you do what you can to get him to come to Detroit. I knew once they brought the Young guns up it would take a couple years for them to get acclimated. They're going to be fine I would anticipate seeing a huge difference from them next year. Depending on how many more prospects they bring up this may take an even longer. But the team needs to get younger I believe that's why everyone who is older has a 2-year contract they were expecting things to take 2 years
Hahahaha
Aquire TOP end talent
Ppl need to understand that Larkin, Seider and Raymond aren’t even part of the Yzerplan. Larkin will be retired and the other 2 will be mid 30s. The playoffs weren’t till year 15 of the Yzerplan and the cup isn’t till year 25 of the plan. You ppl need to trust the process and follow the plan.
It’s time for a new plan…PLAN? What happed to the 7 year-long and much CELEBRATED “YzerPLAN”. Will they, like HogTown’s ShanaPLAN, kick the GURU to the curb? Perhaps missing the Post Season 9 consecutive years (7 with Mr Happy) is understandable. Waddyathink?
