  1. Had to happen at some point. Get it out of the way now. Cole doesn’t miss from that spot too often and he did many times tonight. Think he was gripping too tight tonight.

  2. I’d like to see us be able to adjust a little better mid game, it obviously wasn’t working much today but they didn’t seem to make changes

  3. I think knowing the clinched before the game made them take the foot off the gas + winning 7 in a row. They are going to drop some games. It’s inevitable!

  4. Totally agree about the focus being on CC's 50th and not on playing the game. Too many missed opportunities, especially on the PP, cost them. Whether or not it was a bit of fatigue setting in after a long roadie, the Devils played last night too and had a little more jump. It is what it it is. Winning streaks end. Refresh and reset for Florida. The main thing is they're in the playoffs and where they end up in the standings or who they face in the first round is largely irrelevant. I have concerns they will get worn down by bigger teams. They tend to rely too much on one line for their offence. Thanks Josh.

  5. Fowler could have saved both the goals he let in. not sure about the expected goals against you mentioned. This was a bad game and im glad it happened now and not a few games from now like in the playoffs.
Fowler will bounce back and so will the team. Bring on Florida

  6. Habs shutout twice this season by goalies with bad season. They must have gotten tired from the road trip. There was a lack of effort up front to generate offense and shots (half of the Habs shots were in 3rd) and they had tons of opportunities on the PP wasted. Habs need to just get 4 points to security top 3 Atlantic Division spot (as Bruins still a minor threat and can hit a max of 103 points).

  7. Garbage effort today from the boys. Literally not fun to watch. Gotta be better and try harder. Not cool.

  8. The guys just came back from a long road trip and had a back to back games … I believe they were simply exhausted and their timing was off. There's no worries to have.

  9. They shouldn't make passes to Caufield, leave him being forgot a bit , take the opportunity that other teams know that you will look for Caufield, and it will make him more available at some point. It plays too much in the whole team mind

  10. talking about the play offs, now: you're out in 4
since the short handed goal it's the same habs, again
playing on "chance", slofkesky should get benched, the boy doesn't know what is doing
no passing, no shooting, no physical play is coming from him , the boy is completely lost
marty "small face" louis clearly forces his style to the team but the team needs to play physically, too

  11. Seriously.. can you people crying and complaining do better.. 5 games on the road tiring. Back to backs tiring.. the youngsters are in a great spot .. they're not going to win every game they play.. when they are on they're on some nights they will be off that's sports..

  12. Y'all want it so much that you only think about that and project it on him at this point, it's so annoying. Just let him play. I'm glad he didn't get his 50th in a losing game.

  13. Let's not be leafs fans here the boys n gals they came back from a road trip winning 8 in 10 is an awesome streak for a young team I wouldnt wanna go into playoffs on too much of heater let's focus on home ice not the Atlantic the wild cards are dangerous n id like to say the sheriff looked good out there tonight go habs go let's get game 1 in Mtl and set the tone for atmospheres!

  14. One thing is certain: the Habs score a lot of finesse goals with tic tac toe passes and skillful tap-ins or fancy stickhandling like Caufield, Demidov, Kappanen, Suzuki, and Hutson score. In the playoffs you don't always get the time and space to do that fancy stuff. You need to score those dirty goals like Bobby Clarke, Dale Hunter, Bobby Nystrom, Clark Gillies, O'Reilly, Marchand, etc. used to score. Tonight's game showed that they don't power into the crease and get the greasy goals. They better learn to do that soon. When you come up against a hot goalie, those are the only kind of goals which will go in.

  15. The 50 goal thing is weighing them down. Once it happens they will rebound. Also Nick is after 30 and after the 100 points. Go Habs Go.

  16. 6 games in 9 nights in 5 different cities. They were out of gas.

There won't be any bag skate.

  17. 8 wins in a row, longest streak in ten years, and that isn't enough for some "fans" to chill the F out after a PERFECT road trip. unreal.

  18. was too obvious that 50 for Goal is a main objective today and turned into "no Fkn way to put it in " plus stress and exhaustion build up after trip … tic tac toes were too visible and lacked speed with predictable TOE player … let it flow naturally boys … Goal will reach 50, Slav 30 , Ivan, Lane will do his best season …Arber must adjust his stick for angle and we will be happy …

  19. The Habs are trying to feed Caufield too much to get him his 50th, he’ll score it on his own accord. Right now they should focus on winning.

  20. We have to be fair at the start of the season Montembeault and Dobes where getting eviscerated for letting in these goals. He is not responsible for the loss but we have to be fair. Second forcing thing to Cole for the past 2 games is unacceptable. That is the main reason why they lost. It’s like they wanted to recreate a capital ovi like moment with Cole’s 50th

  21. Netlačiť na pílu,ono tých 50gólov príde aj 100bodov.👍🇸🇰👏aj Slaf bude mať30g.Ťažky trip 2zápasy tesne za sebou ,únava je na mieste.

  22. Hi Guys, when ever a team comes off a road trip, the first game back, is always a tough one, they have wives kids and homes, who need their time, and well they get distracted with home life. Cheers

  23. Long road trip, home at home back-to-back games and you just found out you have already earned a playoff berth means a huge emotional & physical reaction. You can't win them all. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!

  24. we had a hard road trip and we were tired and nj took advantage of it , and rightfully so lol i am not mad either we have a great team, GHG

  25. Guys don’t panic. 6 games in 9 nights in 5 cities. They ran out of gas plain and simple.

If he scores, he scores. It is not Marty’s focus and therefore it is not the team’s focus.
