    Should be 21 in a row bc of the 20 21 COVID year where he was on pace for 44 goals. Also would be 22 in a row if it were not for the 04 05 lockout when he was drafted.

    He deserved to play at the Olympics.
    But the hypocrites at the hockey federation only ban countries they want to ban.
    How about banning the USA for illegally attacking Iran? Won't happen because it also did not happen when they illegally attacked Iraq.

    And even by playing some part of his career in Russian Superleague/KHL, Alexander Ovechkin will most probably become NHL's most goals scorer for regular seasons and play-offs counted together. For instance, Gretsky played in NHL only.

    Interesting, that Russian hockey players usually play in KHL & NHL and still can show their best when it comes to statistics. And the number of Russian players in NHL is far less compared to Canadians & Americans.

    Obviously, the world hockey needs Russians for other nations' players to improve and develop. It goes without saying, I believe.
